*Sam* The drive to Pamela's penthouse feels like an eternity, each mile pulling the tension in my chest tighter until I can barely breathe. I grip the steering wheel, replaying Max's words in my mind: “You deserve to know the truth.” But what truth? The thought of a child… my child… out there, possible not knowing of his past and unloved, gnaws at me. I can’t let another moment slip away.
