Attraction

But if you hadn't done it, I would have. But if you hadn't done it, I would have. The words seemed to resonate within Ivannah's head. She didn't know what to say or how to react at all. On one hand she was revolted that her own supposed father figure thought of her in such crude manner. To get away from his sickening presence altogether. But than she remembered she had been thinking the same thing not moments ago. Her eyes had wandered the expanse of his muscular physique countless times and thought about all the things his strong arms could do to her. Her own hypocrisy astonished her. Ivy found back her voice after what felt like decades. Hades eyes didn't waver from her face even for a second. He was drinking in her every expression with precision. "I don't understand." Her voice was nothing but a feeble whisper, yet somehow it sounded confident. Hades seemed to read her face for a couple more moments before sighning in clear exhaustion. He munched over his next words with slight exaggeration. "Surely, I must not be the only one that feels this connection between us?" He finally spoke and looked up at her with hopeful eyes. Ivy almost nodded her head at his expression before restraining herself. She had to be stronger. What he was implying was morally wrong and scandalous. She could never agree, no matter how much her body shouted for her to succumb. "What are you implying, Mr Salvatore?" Ivy's voice was devoid of any emotions and her face gave nothing away but the desire she felt in her loins with his distracting presence was infuriating her. A muscle in his jaw moved but Hades didn't utter a word. His face was blank but his eyes spoke volumes. Ivy could clearly see the impatience and slight anger in their depth and hoped she wasn't testing his limits. "So, you feel no attraction to me at all, love?" Hades finally said making Ivy's eyes widen at his blunt words. She hadn't expected him to say something so outrageous. "No." Ivy said with determination and watched him carefully for his reaction. A gasp left past Ivy's lips when Hades brought his face closer to her. She looked into his eyes but they had hardened to the point that she couldn't see past his tinted orbs anymore. "Not even now?" His voice had lowered considerably until only she could hear them. His voice awoke the unreasonable part of her that wanted to feel his touch desperately. Ivy gulped before looking at his lips that were surrounded by a light stubble. Her eyes snapped back at his eyes before she spoke again. "No." Her voice had lost the facade of confidence she put moments ago. Ivy sat completely still as Hades brought his face even more closer to her. His nose was touching hers at this point and the minty breath from his slightly parted lips caressed her face like a faint whisper. "Not even now?" He questioned her again and almost all her confidence crumbled down. She could feel the slight wetness between her legs and fisted her hands in horror. Hades's eyes had dropped down to her lips and stayed there. Ivy's breath came out in small puffs and she almost forgot that he had asked her a question. "N-No." Her voice shook as she spoke. Even she wasn't convinced by her own words. But all sense of reason and her ability to speak left her when Hades's hand cupped the back of her head with his hand. His lips peppered small kisses on along her jaw. He left light kisses behind him his trail nearing her lips gradually. He finally seperated himself from her but his eyes stayed fixed on her lips. Just when she thought he would kiss her he looked up into her eyes. "What about now?" He asked with his head tilted slightly to the side. Ready to seal their fate after her clearly obvious answer. Just went Ivy thought she had lost the battle, a sharp knock resonated through the room. Hades cursed roughly before letting go of her head. He stood with with a furious expression and was about to march to the door when Ivy took ahold of his hand. "Please don't. They are only worried about me." She said very quietly and looked at him with pleading eyes. All his anger seemed to evaporate at the sight of her eyes and he nodded his head in understanding. He went to the door more calmly and opened it to let a worried Iris inside. Iris immediately rushed to Ivy's side and hugged her tightly. Ivy hugged her back too in reassurance before turning to look at the others. A very worried Grace and Frank stood at the side for her bed with Elena in tow. They all seemed to think that Ivy would collapse any moment again. Ivy felt really sorry for worrying them and reassured them again and again that she was alright. Making up stories about how she had been stressed about her studies and had been working day and night. Everyone seemed to believe her except Iris, who eyed her and Hades suspiciously. Hades didn't leave her side for even a second as everybody came to enquire about her health. After a hour or so of constant reassuring, everyone left her room to let her rest. Ivy shivered slightly as she remembered the look Hades gave her right before he left. She knew he would bring up the conversation again. A sense of mortification took over her as she remembered how close to saying yes she was. She reminded herself that she needed to be stronger and fight harder against this attraction she felt towards him. And as she lay awake in her bed even after hours, she found herself wondering what would have happened if she had said yes. Would he have kissed her? Court her? Wooed her like a man does a woman? And she spend the rest of the day dreaming about another world where the circumstances were not so deplorable and she would have appreciated to have someone like Mr Salvatore's attention on her. A world were his hands on her body would not be so licentious.
