Insomnia

The hour hand had passed over midnight. The mansion was silent with not even a single soul in sight. The only sound was of the light breeze swaying the history within the withering branches of the ancient trees on the demesne. Yet two people lay wide awake in their own dream world. A world they desired but were too afraid touch. His darks eyes drank her every fleeting expression with the look of a man quenched with thirst for life and finally finding his oasis. Her face shone in the bright moon light as she silently read her book. Light breeze weaved through her silky hair and a stray curl teased her cheeks as his hands itched to take it's place. She tried to stick the curl behind her ear but the stubborn piece of hair somehow always ended up on her face. She sucked in her bottom lip between her teeth and furrowed her eyebrows in surprise. Her eyes danced over the ink of the pages oblivious to the world around her. He watched as a squealed before closing the book. A faint blush covered her cheeks and she closed her eyes tightly. He had watched her enough to know that she was embarrassed by something that happened in the book and he laughed. She at glaring at the book in her hand before putting it aside on the small table beside her in annoyance. She looked up at the night sky thoughtfully and a glassy look took over her eyes. As if it was only her body sitting in the small chair on the balcony but her soul was miles away. He a ran a hand over his lips thoughtfully. She was a fascinating thing for him to study. Everything she did captivated him. For days, he did nothing but watch her. He was so familiar with her by now that he would tell whatever was going through her mind by just a glimpse at her face. She had bewitched him. He felt himself twitch in his pants as he saw her bring her knees closer to her chest, exposing the creamy skin of her thigh. He took a deep breath through his nose as he grew hard thinking of all the things he could do to her beautiful skin. Of the different colours it would turn as he administered some discipline on her unblemished skin. For her pleasure and his own. He got off the chair angrily and started pacing around the room. If he had claimed her then he would have just barged into their bedroom and have her rub herself off on his groin. But he knew he had to wait. For she was untainted. His hand were tainted black with sin. They would leave behind soot marks all over her innocence if he ever touched her. Yet he couldn't get himself to care. Her innocence was everything that he didn't have in his life and everything that he desired. He wanted her to light up a fire inside him that went deeper than carnal passion. He wanted something deeper than intimacy of the flesh with her. Something that went deeper than skin and jointed their souls together. But she is so young. He closed his eyes in frustration as the same thought resonated through his mind for the millionth time. She will turn 18 in just one weeks. He tried reasoning with his conscience. But what about the truth? And just for a second his heart skipped a beat. Everything would be ruined if she ever discovered the truth. He would never let that happen. He would never let her find out anything about him or herself. "What she doesn't know wouldn't hurt her." He whispered to thin air. But there were bigger problems in his way. A-anyways, I-I've applied at different colleges f-for my ad-admission. A-and I think I w-will.... . Her hesitant words echoed in his head. He had to do something about that problem. He couldn't allow her out of his sight, no matter what he had to do. He was made well aware from her academic potential from her tutors and was well aware of her wish to join the Riverdale university. And if those professional tutors were to be believed then she had a high chance of securing the place. He had to do something and do it fast or else his little bird would be free of her golden cage. And he wouldn't allow that. She had to stay here with him. And he would do anything to make sure that she was happy in his arms. Forever. A small smile curved on his lips as he watched her form slowly curling into a ball on the chair as she gazed at the stars longingly. A glimpse of a future were she would be sitting on his lap as he whispered sweet things into her ear passed across his eyes. He felt something unfamiliar inside him. A little hope and he could find happiness at last. He just had to make sure that his little love didn't get out of his clutches.
