CHAPTER 1- MADELINE Madeline was 12 years old. When she was supposed to go to the park that sunny Wednesday afternoon, Her big brown eyes glittered with excitement. Madeline Smith was a girl whose beauty was extraordinary. After all, she got it from her mother. Madeline's dad (John Smith) was a rich and elegant man who hardly smiled. But when it came to Madeline, he made sure she remained happy. After all, she was his only child. And he hoped one day she could inherit the family business, even though he thought one day it would be his son. As they got into the car, they headed on to the park. Madeline was already fast asleep at the back of the car. Then BOOM. A loud thud. Woke her up from her peaceful sleep. Her dad was nowhere to be found. Her mum was already slightly unconscious while being dragged out of the car. Then people also came to the terrible scene that had happened in the middle of Santa Monica in Los Angeles. Madeline had no choice than to cry as she saw them drag her mom to the hospital. But unfortunately for her, Madeline had lost both her parents in a car crash that sunny Wednesday afternoon. Madeline never stopped blaming herself for what had happened that day……. Madeline was sent to her aunt's place (Aunt Ruth). Aunt Ruth and her husband have been happily married for 12 years. But they didn't have a child of their own. So they were happy enough to take Madeline in. For the first two years, they took her in. They treated Madeline like their child, they gave her everything she wanted , and everything she didn't ask for. But Aunt Ruth didn't want to take care of Madeline anymore. She was jealous of Madeline’s beauty as she kept on growing, so she started using the excuse of blaming Madeline for the reason they didn't have a child. She wanted her own child. Soon, they started calling her horrible names and they stopped giving her things. When she asked for anything, they would call her spoiled. They mostly started treating Madeline like a slave. When Madeline was already 18 years old, they kicked her out of the house. Because they still didn't have a child. Madeline was so homeless, she didn't know where to go or what to do. Madeline had grown thin, and she barely had clothes on. Then a man dressed in a fur coat and a big car. Approached her on the streets. He promised her the world. He told her how he would take her to New York to live her life. Madeline, who had not been well taken care of took this as an opportunity. Little did she know that this man had a lot in store for her. Soon they went to New York. Madeline was so happy and excited because he had bought her new clothes which seemed a little bit revealing, but she could manage, she thought. He even paid for her tickets and took care of everything. When they got to New York, the man Madeline was supposed to be with had left her with his bodyguards. But they were taking her elsewhere. She was at the back of the car. But something still felt ……off. She tried to shake off the feeling. But she couldn't help but think something was wrong. Soon, they stopped at a club, which was mostly filled with naked strippers. Madeline didn't know what to do. They took her from one place to another. And before she knew it. She was trafficked. Her body was no longer there. They sold her from one place to another. Madeline had gone through alot. The people they mostly sold her to as a s*x slave mostly hit on her or did other things to her. Madeline didn't sleep well again. She had eyebags, her skin was pale, her hair was scattered, her clothes were torn. Madeline didn't exhibit that beauty she has again. She had been sold from New York to Florida and to Russia. Right now she is on the way to Italy for her last sale. Madeline didn't have any friends. It was every man for himself Zack Zanneti D'amico, the rich and cold business tycoon who was in Italy and Sicily. That day, for an auction he was invited to. He didn't want to be there. If he could buy time, he would have no problem with the idea. Zack is a 6 '7 built man. He always wore black designer suits which matched perfectly with his black silky hair. Under that black suit he mostly wears, a black dragonfly tattoo is on his left arm. Zack does not have time for anyone. He mostly spends his time running a business which the media doesn't know about. The word love is not in his dictionary. No girl is up to his standard. In Italy, somewhere in Sicily, an auction was being held for people who would like to purchase a new toy. 10 girls were lined up on the stage with shackles all over their hands and legs. None of them caught his attention. This was a waste of time. He was about to take his leave when a certain girl at the end of the stage caught his attention.
