Episode 1 — The Lunch She Made for Him Lexie woke up that morning with an unusually bright smile. She was excited to go to work—not because she particularly loved her job, but because of one person waiting for her at the office. Marco. Her longtime crush. For years, Lexie had quietly admired her officemate. She knew his favorite coffee, his favorite snacks, and, most importantly, his favorite dish—beef caldereta. Whenever she had the time, she would cook it herself and bring it to the office. It was her simple way of showing how much she cared. That morning, she carefully carried a container of freshly cooked caldereta as she entered the office. And there he was. Marco was already sitting at his desk, casually drinking coffee. Lexie's heart immediately skipped a beat. She took a deep breath, trying to act normal. "Good morning, Marco." Marco looked up and smiled. "Good morning, Lexie." Trying to hide her excitement, Lexie walked toward her cubicle and placed her things down. But before she could sit, Marco noticed the container she was carrying. He raised an eyebrow curiously. "What's that?" Lexie smiled shyly. "Caldereta. Your favorite." Marco's eyes immediately lit up. "Wow. I love that. Perfect timing. I haven't even had rice yet." Lexie felt warmth spread through her chest. "Then come on. Let's eat together." For Lexie, those simple words felt like a tiny victory. She finally had another chance to be alone with Marco. They sat together during lunch, sharing food and small conversations. Lexie tried to act casual, but inside, her heart was practically dancing. Around the office, everyone already knew about their closeness. Their coworkers constantly teased them. "Here come the office couple!" "Just admit it—you two are dating!" Whenever they heard it, Lexie and Marco would simply laugh. Marco never seemed annoyed by the teasing. He would only shake his head while laughing, as if the idea wasn't entirely unpleasant. And every time he smiled at her like that, Lexie couldn't help but wonder— Could there really be something between them? Maybe all the meals she prepared, all the little things she did, and all the years she spent quietly loving him would eventually mean something. For now, Lexie was content just sitting beside him. She didn't know that this ordinary lunch would soon become the beginning of a love story she never expected.
