“What happened, princess?” I asked her in agitation as I led her to a nearby chair.
She sat down, closed her eyes, and massaged her temple. “Talk to me, princess.” I begged, grabbing her arms.
I could feel her heart beating fast and I felt her fear grow through the mate bond. “Brook!” She yelled in panic.
I turned to find Brooklyn holding a spoon full of chocolate cake near her mouth. I ran to her side as I threw the spoon out of her hand.
