I couldn’t believe that I was holding my mate again. I was beginning to think that all the dreams that she had visited me in were just wishful thinking.
I held her tighter as she sobbed on my chest.
“I love you so much.” I whispered in her ear before choking on my words. “I missed you, baby. Like crazy.”
“Me too.” She mumbled out against my chest.
I rubbed her back gently before releasing my tight grip on her. I looked at her face as her eyes started fluttering closed.
“Baby?” I called out in panic. “Are you okay?”
Her body went weak, but I caught her in time before she could hit the floor. “Athena!” I roared as her eyes closed completely.
