It’s been two hours since Archie showed up with the news, and about one hour since they left us to join up with Wren and attack the Originalists.
Harper, of course, begged them to take her with them. She’s the most powerful one here, she reminded them several times; they need her help.
They said no, of course. They said she was too young, and to stay here and protect the rest of us.
It’s more than a little emasculating, being told your girlfriend is supposed to protect you. But I’ll take it over her going out there and fighting.
Don’t get me wrong here—I think it’s sexy as hell that she wants to fight back. I do, too; these shitheads who burned down our home deserve to pay.
I just don’t want her to get hurt.
