Harper’s POV I haven’t seen him since the kiss. Granted, it’s only been a few hours, but given that I’ve been able to think about nothing but him since he blinked out, I was more than a little relieved when he linked to me to meet up again. When I see him, though, my relief disappears. The concern on his face is clear from a mile away. “What’s wrong?” I ask immediately. “It’s… your dad, actually.” That surprises me. If I expected either parent to embarrass me in front of him, it was my mom. Dad seemed totally cool when they saw us in the kitchen. “What did he say?” He frowns, looking down at the ground. Sandy-brown hair falls into the world’s dreamiest eyes. When he glances back at me, he’s gesturing to the waterbank. I sit next to him, and he takes my hand before he speaks again.
