I knew what I was about to do would be a disaster, but that was the only plan, and I needed to do it in order to achieve my plan. ''This is wrong.'' My wolf howled in disapproval, but I ignored him and smiled at Lady Golden, who had been talking to Mia about how she was so sorry about her loss, but Mia didn't give her a response. Obviously, she was shocked by my words.
''I need to be in my room. Please excuse me.'' Mia stood at her feet and hurried away. My heart clenched in my chest, but I knew I had to do it to achieve my plans, and sadly, I couldn't tell her about it. I didn't want mistakes.
''She is still hurt.'' I spoke, trying to set up a conversation with Golden, ''Yes, it's difficult to lose one's mate.'' She sighed deeply, ''So, have you met your mate yet?''
