The weekend had finally rolled around, and Bianca was practically bursting with excitement. As she gathered with Jennie and Cherry for their movie night, the cozy atmosphere of blankets and popcorn couldn't distract her from the burning theory she needed to share.
"Okay, hear me out, you guys. Owen Menendez – the guy with the whole bad-boy vibe? I'm convinced he's hiding superpowers."
Jennie and Cherry exchanged amused glances, their skepticism already showing. "Superpowers?" Jennie chuckled. "Are we talking about the same Owen here?"
Cherry joined in, giggling. "Yeah, B. Did he shoot laser beams from his eyes or something?"
Bianca leaned forward, eyes wide and serious. "No, but seriously, I've seen things. Like, he controlled water with his mind. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm sure."
Jennie rolled her eyes playfully, giving her a reassuring pat on the arm. "B, don't let those sci-fi movies mess with your head."
Cherry nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we love your imagination, but let's be real."
Bianca felt her excitement deflate a bit, but she wasn't about to back down. "Look, I get it sounds nuts, but there's something mysterious about him, and I'm going to prove it."
Jennie exchanged a glance with Cherry before sighing, giving in to Bianca's enthusiasm. "Fine, we'll help you gather whatever 'evidence' you think you need."
Bianca's eyes lit up with gratitude and determination. "Yes, thank you! You won't regret this."
As the week unfolded, the trio embarked on their covert operation. They brainstormed scenarios, practiced their undercover skills, and attempted to recreate the bizarre incidents Bianca had witnessed. Yet, every time they tried, Owen seemed like an ordinary guy, with no hint of extraordinary powers.
As they huddled together on movie night, Bianca's frustration was palpable. She slumped back on the couch, her spirits low. "Guys, I'm starting to think you might be right. Maybe I've just been watching too many superhero movies."
Jennie wrapped an arm around Bianca, trying to comfort her. "Hey, don't stress. It's been a fun ride, regardless."
Cherry nodded, smiling. "Yeah, we've had some good laughs along the way."
Bianca managed a weak smile, appreciating her friends' support. "You guys are the best. Thanks for putting up with my crazy theories."
As the movie played on, Bianca's mind kept wandering. There had to be something she was missing, a piece of the puzzle that would make sense of it all. She stared at the screen, lost in thought.
Then, like a lightning bolt of inspiration, it hit her. She turned to her friends, eyes wide with newfound excitement. "What if we've been approaching this the wrong way? What if Owen's superpower isn't something flashy, but something more subtle?"
Jennie's eyebrow arched, intrigued. "Subtle? Like what?"
Bianca's voice was brimming with renewed enthusiasm. "Maybe he's got some uncanny ability to predict things or incredible intuition. It'd explain how he's always so chill and collected, like he knows what's coming next."
Cherry nodded slowly, her curiosity piqued. "Okay, I'm starting to follow you. That could actually make sense."
Bianca leaned in, her excitement contagious. "Right? So instead of trying to catch him doing something over-the-top, let's focus on spotting moments where he's just ahead of the curve."
Jennie grinned, a renewed energy in her eyes. "I'm liking where you're going with this. Spill, B. What's our new plan?"
Bianca's smile grew mischievous. "Get ready, because we're diving into full-on undercover mode."
