Sofia's POV Fuck how much longer until I reach Denver? "Drive to Denver" they said, "It will be therapeutic, think of the views" they said. Assholes. My brothers are assholes. 28 hours to drive from Florida to Denver. I saw a lot of roads and cars, can't really take in the view when you are the only driver. I had reached just outside of Dallas. My only out of the way stop of this trip. Visit JT, spend two or three nights and then onward to Denver. I haven't seen JT in 5 years, while we did keep in touch weekly like we promised, it was hard to get days to visit each over in the different states or something always came up and we had to cancel the plans. I drove for 12 hours almost straight only stopping to get gas and use the restrooms. I finally had to spend the night in Louisiana to sleep. My eyes were droopy and I didn't want to crash my mustang. It was one of the few only thing I kept from the inheritance mom left. God, I miss that woman. I missed her more every day. I missed her when she was alive specially when she off the meds because it was not her that came out. It wasnt my mom. I could never fault her. I entered the Buc-ees gas station. seeing some of the souvenirs in the store. JT was going to be at work for another two hours and I didn't want to sit in his house by myself and my thoughts. He had left the keys under the mat for me. I will be there in another hour. So if I kill another hour while walking around here it won't be too bad. I inspected every single items in the store, even if I had not interest in buying anything in particular I held on to a cute god toy for my German Shepherd, Gus, that was already waiting for me in Denver with Maria. I was so out of place here. This place looks like grandma's house with all the colors. Martha Stewart would have like this place. I was wearing a black long sleeve v neck crop top and high waisted black skinny jeans and black on black Converse. I looked like a My Chemical Romance' groupie. I finally got some jerky and a lollipop from the counter, deciding on leaving the toy close to the cash register, payed and headed out the store. Crap, I had to double back once outside the store since this place has 2 exits. I got in my car and drove to one of the pumps, top off the car and then I will see JT. The thought put a smile in face. It was weird. haven't smiled in months. I get out of my car and start putting gas in the car. Out of the corner of my eye, I feel someone is staring at me. I can see he is staring and I can see he is a big dude, at least 6 foot 5 with a tight muscle shirt. I turn to meet his gaze. Creep. He is looking at me up and down like he hasn't eaten in weeks and I was the rack of lamb. I raised my eyebrow. "Can I help you?" He met my eyes. He was thinking of what to say as he looked once again up and down at me. He was attractive as hell, not gonna lie. Besides being tall, I can see his pecs and abs from how tight the shirt clung to him. His ivory skin and blond hair with his blue eyes, his left arm had a complete sleeve tattoo. Leaning against the SUV he was driving, he looked like a model. There was still something off about him and I couldn't put my finger in it. "I like your...necklaces" he said is a deep voice. I smirked. Of course you do you creep I thought to myself. You were looking at my breast. I'm gonna play with him. There are more than enough people here and I'm almost done with filling up the tank. I turned on the radio and the music filled my ears as I drove down to Dallas to see my bestie. Gamma Noah's POV The conference we attended was finally over and we were heading back home to Denver. Alpha Oliver, Delta Liam and I needed to fuel up, eat and head out. It would only be a 12 hour drive home but we needed food above anything else. We eat like the beast we are. Three hungry wolfs in a SUV was a recipe for disaster. We figured this gas station would be best since we can kill two birds with one stones. We eat as we drive home. I let them off in the entrance of the store while I drove to a pump to fuel up. I begin fueling the car. It was a 3 day conference with humans. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate them but they are boring as hell specially when talking about business and investments. Alpha Oliver made good money through his company and we were one of the profitable and successful packs in the west. A black 1969 Mustang pulls up on the opposite pump as mine. A woman, maybe in her late 20's gets out of the car. Intriguing, most girls do not drive such a nice classic. Damn she looks good. I take a whiff, the smell of sweet fruits but nothing intoxicating. Our species are usually very intimidating to humans, specially to the females. They think we will do harm to them. She bend over as she went into her car and took out a lollipop. She unwrapped the lollipop and put it into her mouth, I watched as she inserted it as deep as she could, holding just the tip of the stick and pulled it back out with a loud smack of her lips. She slightly shook her head before inserting the lollipop again in here mouth. "NOAH" Alpha Oliver mind linked me. "Yes Alpha" "Get in here and find her" he commanded. "Find who?" "Mate" he growled, I can tell his beast in borderline ready to come out. The girl that I was speaking to got in her car and gave me an extra exaggerated waved good bye as she drove away. The song Creep by radioheaf played from her car. I finished fueling and headed inside. Alpha Oliver POV. I hate doing these events, but they are for the better of the company and therefore the better of the pack. Three days of networking, smiling and being cramped in a city with nowhere to run. My wolf, Ares, was pacing back and forth for a while, not saying a word to me. Noah dropped us off at the entrance of the store. Get food and then a 10 hour drive home because realistically I would take over and I have a lead foot. The sooner I can be home the sooner I can run. Wolves were not made to fly, we were made to have our feet on the ground. Turning to the building and swinging the door open, the most intoxicating smell hit me like a ton of bricks. I walked around sniffing. some of the humans were looking at me like I was crazy, but I didn't give a damn. I can smell her all over this store. Does she work here? We had never been here. My nails were elongating and I can feel Ares edging closer to escape. Liam grabbed me and led me to the car. It would not be good if I shift here. I open the door a little harder than I intended. "TELL ME WHO SHE IS OR I SWEAR TO GODDESS SELENA I WILL END YOU" growling so deeply and through clenched teeth I could feel the car vibrate.
