-Cassie- As I sit as my desk studying for the SATs I suddenly heard screaming coming from down stairs I got up and rushed down quickly. "What's all the screaming about?" I said from the edge of the stairs. "Well pumpkin I just proposed to Darcy." dad said as Darcy squealed in excitement "wow congratulations have you guys decided on when?" I asked looking at them. "Well we were hoping to have in after this month when summer is out so a month and a couple of weeks. But first we gotta get Tyler down here so we can tell him." Darcy said and I almost burst out laughing. Tyler creed my annoyingly hot badboy of a stepbrother I've secretly had a crush on him since I was 16 he left on my 18th don't know why but all he left was a birthday present that I haven't opened since. "Yeah ok good luck with that. The day he comes back is the day a guy wants me." I said sarcastically." why can't you two just get along." Karl said flipping through wedding venues. "oh we got along just fine until he disappeared. So by all means I would love to see him again but good luck convincing him to come back." I said then walked back up stairs. As I was about to walk past Tyler's room I stopped and decided to go in. God he left a lot still here. As I started to walk around I saw a filed up crumpled squares I grabbed it and as it unraveled I saw it was a picture of me on the beach from one of our family vacations. I turned it around to see Tyler's handwriting saying "my sweet Cassie". As much as I was confused I decided to put it back the way I found it and went back to my room. Just as I was about to close my door I heard dad and Darcy arguing on the phone. I shut my door put in my earbuds and went back to studying it must've been at least two hours that went by when my phone suddenly started ringing. It was lu'creashia my best friend we hang out with two other girls Tracy and AJ. Tracy is our prima ballerina and AJ is a DJ and Lu is getting ready for bartending school. "Hi Lu." I said tired. "Hi Cassie so me and the girls are going clubbing tomorrow if you wanna come?" Lu asked puppy eyed. "Yeah sure I need to get away from the wedding fever down stairs anyway." I said shaking my head. "Oh yeah i heard about that I also heard that their trying to get Tyler to come back home." Lu said smirking. "Oh no no no no there will be no smirking and how did you find that out?" I asked confused. "Well not only am I going to be a bartender but I'm also working with a wedding planning agency so Darcy asked me help and ofc she told me how she wants her son home." Lu explained clearly. "Yeah well like I told them good luck trying to convince him to come home. I'm gonna try to get some sleep I'll talk to you tomorrow Lu." I said looking at the phone." alright good night Cassie." she said and ended the call. I put on some pajama short and a button up sleeping shirt and went to bed. The next day I woke up to some stuff dropping to the floor. I walked downstairs to see what was going on and to my surprise I saw what I didn't think was possible. "Hey what's all the noi-" I trailed off as I see my eyes before me living and breath was Tyler. "Oh umm hey Tyler." I said as I look into that beautiful hair and amazing eyes of his. "Hey Cassie it's been awhile." Tyler said looking at me the same old way he always did. "Now I want you too to get along ok?" Karl said walking up to Darcy. "What so you told him?" I asked curiously. "Tch yeah they f*****g told me alright." Tyler said folding and brushed past me up the stairs almost knocking me down. Great I thought as I was about to go upstairs their was a knock ion the front door. "Anymore surprises?" I asked sarcastically before opening the door. "Hii surprise- oh God you look horrible."Lu said as she was standing with Tracy AJ and ajs girlfriend Jaz. "well studying for the SATs does that to you. What are you guys even doing here?" I asked rubbing my eyes." well we figured we'd show up here that way you can't bail on us again and we came early that way we can help you study then get some shopping in and now your 18 we can go in the shops." when Lu said that my eyes went wide do to the fact I knew what she was talking about. "Ummm Lu?" I look at her in disbelief. "Kiddo it's perfectly normal." he said trying to be the cool dad but really he's just being awkward." oh my God dad ew gross seriously don't." I said trying to tune him out. "m**********n is completely normal." "oh Darcy now your just embarrassing her and in front of everyone in the house." he said and I flinched. I turned around to see Tyler choking on his water from laughter. "I'm gonna kill you guys." I said looking at the three girls. "How about y'all stay down here with dad and Darcy while I get changed." I said going up stairs and changing into some blue jeans bell bottoms a blue and black laced tank top and a blue jean jacket. As I sit in my room I thought back to the unopened birthday present. God I wonder what could be in there as I was Contiplating on what I should do there was a knock on the door is was Tyler and Lu. "Hey whats up?" I said moving the box. "Open it when you ready not when you feel obligated to. Cmon let's you look hot." Lu said as we got up off my bed. "I agree open it when your ready and you never know it just might surprise you." tyler said walking out. -Tyler- Great here I am driving all the way back home a family home on the edge of pioneer square seattle Washington that's where I live. Coming back because mom had to tell me some news turns out their getting married and with going back that mean I'm gonna have to see Cassie. My 18 year old step sister god how I wish I didn't have to come back but I have to control myself. I pulled into the drive way and got out my stuff once I got everything inside I looked around God everything was still the same and then theirs Cassie still as beautiful as I remember except that now she hates me. "Hey Cassie." I said awkwardly looking at her "so they told you?" she said looking back at me so innocently. "Yeah they told me alright." I said brushing past her trying to have as little contact as possible. God why am I such an i***t attracted to my stepsister. As I got to my room I saw my door had been open and left cracked. I walked back down stairs only to hear Cassie and her friends talking about going into shops they couldn't before. I'm not stupid I know what they were talking about I just could never imagine Cassie going into one. As I was about go back with the last bag I grabbed a glass of water only to chock on it when mom started to embarrass her by saying it's completely normal. As I was getting up I saw Cassie looking at me. I quickly cleared my throat and when to my room. As I sat down on my bed I saw a crumpled photo beside the trash can I opened it to see the picture I took of Cassie on of our family vacations. Huh that's weird there's a rip going towards the middle. As I looked out my door I saw Cassie look at me quickly then went to her room. I sat there for at least five minutes trying to put two and two together when I finally realized. Oh s**t Cassie must've comenin her and saw the picture. I gotta go explain to her. As I got up and went across the room to her door I got their at the same time Lu got to the door. Lu endedbup knocking only to open the door to Cassie looking at the present I gave her for her 18th. "Girl open it when you're ready not when you feel pressured to. Now seriously cmon you look hot." Lu said as they got up and started towards the door. "Yknow I agree open it when your ready and you never know it just might surprise you." I said walking out so they could walk out just as Cassie was about to go down stairs I stopped her. "Hey Cassie listen we need to talk." I said looking into her beautiful one white blue right eye and her left brown eye. "Were talking right now." she said looking annoyed. "No I mean really talk about everything." I said wanting to touch her black blonde and blue hair in a messy bun with a braid in it. "I don't really have time to talk Ty." Cassie said looking down at the ground. "Hey it doesn't have to be now just talk before the end of the week. Please." I begged hoping she'll give in. "Fine we can talk before the end of the week." she said walking away down stairs. I sat down on the couch in our living room bar. Our parents thought it was a good idea to give us our on privacy and since I was already 19 closing in towards 20 then eventually 21 they put in a bar and not to mention they put a door in at the top of the stairs. God how would I even put it hey Cassie I left because Ive been fantasizing about you since you were 16. f**k thats pathetic. However it comes out God I just hope she doesn't freak out.
