CHAPTER 2

The sound of birds chirping woke Michelle up as she squinted her eyes to the sunlight reflecting through the window. Michelle felt a splitting headache as she tried to get up. She stared at the unfamiliar room she was in. She was in a massive bed which was not her room. Michelle tried to get up but felt a sharp pain in her private area. Memories from the night before flooded her brain and she held her mouth in shock. She just lost her virginity to a man she barely knows. Just then, there was a knock on the door as a handsome-looking man entered the room. "Guess you are awake," he said and smiled. Michelle felt lost and kind of relieved that the man wasn't that bad-looking and he had a good sense of responsibility to come and check up on her. "Umm...how about last night," she began and the man gave a throaty laugh. "You must be mistaken. I am not the one that brought you here. My master did," he raises his hands. "Oh," Michelle felt her heart flip. The man stretched a package to her and smiled. Michelle collected it without asking and the man turned around and left. Michelle opens the bag. Inside was a contraceptive and a red dress. She brought out the dress and wads of cash fell on the floor. She picks up the note that fell with the money. The money was for her, according to the note. Xavier texted her asking her where she was as today was their wedding. Michelle laughed sadly and simply texted that she wasn't coming to the wedding, then switched off her phone. Michelle rested for a while after eating breakfast and left after she ate lunch. She guessed the stranger must be a kind man for telling them to feed her. She lay down till it was almost getting dark. Michelle freshened up and left the money and dress with the receptionist to return. Michelle went to see her car already in front of the hotel and she guessed the stranger must have helped her. She hopped in and drove straight home. On getting to her front porch, she saw Xavier looking grumpier than usual. She walked with her face held high. Xavier held her back as she was about to walk past him. "Let me go," she ordered. Xavier seemed to be losing his cool. "Do you realize the humiliation you caused me?" he asked, angry. Michelle scoffed. "Humiliation? What humiliation? You mean the humiliation for not tolerating your cheating with my sister?" "Michelle. Let bygones be bygones. What has happened can't be undone," he sarcastically replied. Michelle shook her head in awe. "Wow. That was my sister you know," Xavier scoffed. "Dang I know she's your sister. But you refused to let me make love to you. So why get angry if I decide to get it from another place?" "Xavier, let me go," Michelle sighed, having been fed up. "It's not my fault. Let's schedule another date for the wedding," he said, feeling no ounce of regret or guilt. Michelle laughed hard. "Reschedule? Did I hear you well?" Xavier frowned. "What's so funny?" "I've had enough okay? Please take your lousy self out of my place before I call the cops," Michelle threatened. "You are just worthless trash. I see no reason why you should have such pride. Without me, do you think you would see someone to marry you? You'd end up as a slut," Xavier said with a chuckle. Michelle raised her hand and it landed straight on his cheeks with a loud sound. She just slapped him. Xavier's eyes bulged out in surprise as he didn't believe Michelle would have the guts to raise a finger at him. He touched his burning cheeks as the stinging sensation increased. Michelle stared at him, daring him to do his worst, and then she walked inside her house and banged the door. Xavier stared at her dumbfounded. He couldn't believe Michelle could do something like that. He bit his lips and nodded his head. "I'm going to get married to your sister. Let's see how you cope with that," he mumbled and walked out Michelle leans on the door and sighs in relief. She couldn't believe she had done something like that to Xavier. It felt good too. She regretted not knowing about his affairs with her sister. The sign was there. The holding of hands and buying of gifts. The googly eyes she makes at him. She thought it was just because she liked him as a brother-in-law. If only she knew. Michelle went up straight to her room and lay on the bed. She didn't know how to cope now that she had broken things up with Xavier. He was the one that helped her with some financial things. She didn't know how she was going to cope without the help of Xavier, but she was determined not to go back to him. She already had two jobs that were helping her feed. But finding a third-side job would be impossible. She already took some weeks off because of the wedding. Now that things were going South, she needed to look for a new source of income. Michelle stared at the ceiling, contemplating what to do. Her mind drifted off to the ward of cash she returned and she immediately blocked the thought from her mind. She felt like the stranger was calling her a prostitute by paying her money after last night. Although she didn't remember the face of the stranger, she could feel he was loaded. Because who would give such an amount of money to someone they barely knew and had a one-night stand with? She had to think fast. ************ Damon stares at his assistant, Lucas as he recounts his tale. "So you're telling me, she returned the money and the dress?" He asked. Lucas nodded. Damon twisted his lips in a crooked way. "That's interesting," "Yes. All the girls you've been with would always take the money with such a greedy expression," Lucas said. Damon agreed and resumed his work. He couldn't believe a girl like that would resist such a tempting amount of money. He had wanted her so bad last time even though he knew it was wrong to take advantage of someone drunk. And damn, she was a virgin. That was part of the reason he placed the money inside for her. He knew they wouldn't see each other again, so he wanted her to part with a little gift. He didn't regret what he did with her and wished to do more. He smacked his head and shook it vigorously. Why was he thinking of her? He needed not to think of that woman. He needed to focus on his work. But no, he could not. He was as hard as a rock just thinking of her. He doesn't even know her name. He only knew he met her in the club. How was he supposed to locate her in the whole pack? What if she was someone's mate? No. He didn't smell any wolf when he was being intimate with her. She must be an omega. He needed to find her. The more he thought of her, the more his throbbing rod became more painful. He called for Lucas immediately. Lucas enters the office. "You called," Lucas called out. "Yes. Find her for me," he said "Your greatness," Lucas started. "Do as I say, Lucas. Find her as soon as possible. I need to make her mine," he roared
