CHAPTER 3

Michelle was preparing breakfast when she heard a knock on the door. She walks in immediately and opens the door. She saw the good-looking man standing in front of her and became confused. "How did you know where I live?" she asked, searching around the area for any hidden camera. "I must admit, it was quite difficult. But not that difficult for me," he joked. Michelle didn't find this funny as she didn't even know him. "If you must know. I didn't steal anything from you. I dropped the money and the dress with the receptionist. Or didn't she give it back?" Michelle said, defending herself without an argument. Lucas laughs hard. Michelle stares at him in confusion. She didn't remember dropping her address for anyone. "Please, what do you want?" she asked. "At least you should invite me in," Lucas joked. Michelle makes way for Lucas and he walks in and sits on the couch. Michelle stands in front of him, her hands on her waist as she waits for his explanation. Lucas shifted uncomfortably at her gaze. It was as if her eyes were piercing deep into his soul. "I am here to give you an offer," he began Michelle's brain immediately piqued interest. She slowly sat on the chair. Suspicion crept into her mind. "What is that?" she asked "Well, it's something that is going to give you a lot of money," he began "I'm not into prostitution," she argues . Lucas laughs. "It's not that," ."Then what is it?" he asked "Well, I don't know if you'd like this, but my master has requested you come live in the mansion with him," he began Michelle's ears perked at the mention of a mansion. She didn't know people could own mansions "Why? Is he that lonely?" she asks, confusion written on her face. Lucas chuckled. "No. It's far from that. Well, just live with him, and become his concubine, you'll be paid 1 million per month," Michelle stood up in defense. "That's the closest thing to prostitution," Lucas smiled. "No dear. It's not that," "Then what is it?" she asked. Lucas cleared his throat. "Knowing my master, he doesn't stay at home. He barely comes back home. And when he does, he doesn't stay up for two days. And those days he stays at home, he uses it to do some paperwork," Lucas explained. Michelle nods her head, thinking of the possibilities. "So it means I might not get touched for some time or at all. But I'll still get paid?" she asked. "Yeah. Exactly. Knowing my master, he wouldn't want to have anything to do with you as he had already been intimate with you. He doesn't do it twice with one woman," Lucas explains. Michelle was relieved to hear that but at the same time angry. Was she that ugly that he wouldn't want to do it twice with her? Well, as long as this man says his master does that, she would give it a try. Maybe after two months, she would run away. "But are you sure your master doesn't touch a woman twice?" she asked again, just for clarity. "Yes. I am positive," Lucas said. "Although I still don't understand why he would want to keep you in the house. But it's alright. So do we have a deal?" he asked Michelle nodded. She needed a place to stay anyway. Her rent would soon expire and Xavier would rent a house for Lily. Lucas brought out some contract forms and gave them to sign. She signed it. "I'll come to pick you up by noon tomorrow. Please be ready by then," Lucas said and walked out. Michelle waved him goodbye and sat on the couch smiling. She just needed to survive two months in that mansion, and she would use the money to rent a house and start up a business. It sounded like a good plan. She stood up and continued what she was doing. The next afternoon, Lucas arrived as promised to pick her up. "Sorry for my manner. My name is Lucas," he introduces himself properly. "Michelle," she replied, smiling Once they arrived at the mansion, Michelle couldn't stop the gaping in awe. This was the mansion that the CEO lived in. She turned to Lucas. "This place. Don't tell me your master..." she began Lucas cut her off. "Yes. My master is CEO Damon," Michelle felt like throwing up. That is the most ruthless CEO in the Golden Complex's history. He was known for his deep passion for women. "Wow. You never mentioned it," Michelle tried her best not to sound disgusted. She couldn't believe the person who took her virginity away was CEO Damon. She was doomed. She swallowed hard and continued walking behind Lucas. She was shown to her room. "You don't have to feel stuffed inside the mansion. You can go out and do all the things you normally do. Just make sure you're back before 11 o'clock," Lucas informs her. Michelle slumps on the bed and brings out her phone. She saw a post on Lily's page where Lily was flaunting her wedding dress. Michelle scoffed. Lily finally got what she wanted. Marrying Xavier was the reason she betrayed her. Ever felt a pang in her chest. She was disappointed that her little sister would be the one to betray her. In the video, Xavier smiled softly as he watched Lily walk into the hall in her wedding dress. It was the same dress Michelle was supposed to wear. The same dress she went to collect before catching him in the act with her sister. She knew he didn't feel regret as he was smiling proudly in the video. Michelle sighed tiredly and switched off her phone. She didn't want to start her stay in this house thinking of those two. ****** Damon sighed tiredly as Lucas brought the news of a planned hacker attack. He fiddles with the pen in his hands. "How could this have happened right under our noses?" He calmly asked. "It took everyone by surprise. We never expected to be attacked by hackers. They stole some of our confidential files from the system," Lucas explained. Damon felt as if he was struck with a heavy blow. The worst thing that could happen to a CEO is having his security system loose. Lucas has had a company of his own back then. It wasn't a very big company but it was something. He had experienced this same thing but wasn't lucky enough to escape. His company went bankrupt and that's why he had to work for Damon. Even though Lucas never said it, he wished he could bring back the hands of time "Has anyone been able to track down their IP address?" he asked. Lucas nodded in negation. "We were only able to find a few little hints that may lead to their secret hideout," Damon felt his patience hanging on a thin thread. "Spill." "According to our investigation, we found a few pieces of evidence that pointed towards the location of the hideout. You might not like the outcome," Lucas began One look from Damon made him swallow, and he continued. "The leader has been living within the city for years now without being noticed," he said. "Who is he?" Damon asked. "Your brother, Norton.”
