Chapter I - A saviour?
The captain of their little space track gazed away from the scraps of junk and probably useful—none damaged things, only if they looked hard enough. Placing his gaze on his co captain and the only human body in their worn out track, he spoke. “To be honest I didn’t exactly expect them to go out that easy. You know I expected more of a fight—” “Not the big bang?” he snickered placing a pause on the large metal hand grabbing metal. “Just in a blink of an eye! How pathetic.” “Tell me about it!” The laughed shaking their head, it hadn’t been a secret that almost everyone knew what happened so quickly. And it was all thanks to the Boti people with their pride and need to talk about their win so much. The amount of pride they took in a not fair fight, was just embarrassing really—if the plan field had been leveled, the Tabin tribe would still be standing. The co captain scratched his chin, confused. Staring over to the captain he cleared his throat and spoke. “Hey Dave, I think I found something.” his voice was uncertain if it was at all a thing, from afar it didn’t look at all like it. “What?” “A human being?” Dave shrugged place the hand gear on stop. “Probably a dead body from the Tabin ship.” “They might be a live?” “Days in space without oxygen, I doubt it.” he huffed thinking how ridiculous he sounded, it was highly impossible to survive seven minutes with oxygen — what more hours. But the dark skinned man shook his head once he noticed their head was protected — they definitely had an oxygen supply. “They seem to be wearing an oxygen mask sir.” Dave wasn’t going to win against his stubborn friend. Scratching his out grown brown beard that looked more like a fuzzy dry rug, with a stain of alcohol from nights before. The man sighed fixing his red cap. “Bring it in.” Not long before he said those words flew out his mouth, was the body laid on the metal floor just inches from where the sat. The captain’s narrowed at his friend having a clear silent conversation that he wasn’t going to touch it. It wasn’t up for discussion either. Damon got out his seat walking over to the limp body. The first thing that he touch were the fingers that had been surprisingly cold, if the person hadn’t died of lack of oxygen — it was probably hypothermia. “It’s cold!” he announced. Switching off the automatic helmet he gasped as he could clearly see the face, the dark blonde hair, pale skin complexion and the femininity. “And a female — is that a high technology gun?” he questioned gazing down to the gun on her waist, securely strapped in. Just the word high technology threw the man off his seat. Pushing aside Damon he took the gun into hand. “That’s mine! I’ll make a fortune out of it once I sell it to the Boti people!” he excitedly spoke switching the gun from his left hand to his right. But one thing they hand missed was to check her pulse, she was very much alive to say the least and awake. Adjusting her eyes to the light she caught sight of the man playing with the gun. Her left arm immediately gripped his ankle, “It is not a toy big boy.” Just as fast as she had grabbed his ankle she pulled him to the floor with a loud thug, also knocking out the gun in his hand. She pinned his arm behind his back, her knee pressing hard on his spin and with her right arm she held the gun towards Damon — who only had his hands up. She was too fast and skilled, he knew that hence why he wasn’t going to put up a fight. “Who the f**k are you b***h!” Dave hissed as his face was pressed against the floor. “Everyone’s worse nightmare.” she answered, her gaze still on the dark skinned man she asked. “Now who are you two?” She wasn’t expecting the fidgeting man to respond, he seemed hit headed at the moment. “We are space sweepers, we are just here to clean up the mess and bring everything valuable back.” Damon rumbled in panic. To be fair he was held at gun point, he had not much of an option really at the moment. “By who?” “The leader of Boti tribe!” “And you’re a really valuable asset — Miss last of your kind.” Dave remarked only to get a wave of pain through his hand as she brought it higher, that luckily shut him up. “Tell me right now why I shouldn’t kill you?” she growled. “Calm down everyone, we don’t want to regret stuff right?” Damon reasoned faintly smiling. “She can’t even shoot me if she tried!” Dave shouted that only earned him more pain and his friend a mini heart attack. If only the man could learn to shut up sometimes, it would save them unnecessary trouble they got into — most importantly now. “Man you’re against the floor and I have a gun pointed at my head. Shut up!” He didn’t shut up but cussed Deni out loudly, well only until she shot his left foot that he shut up and cried out in pain. “Now you can’t run.” she widely smiled getting off him and walking towards Damon, the gun point a him. “Take me the Boti leader.” “We can!” “Yes you can!” she hissed pressed the tip of the gun on his forehead that caused the man to loudly gulp. “There is too much security and no one apart from Boti people enter the ship. We are just a bunch of slaves.” he explained sweat rolling down his forehead. “So?” “I suggest you make a plan before you commit suicide, recover or some shit.” “Useful brain—but him not so useful.” she turned facing the man crying in pain, the gun was pointed to his head. But Damon rushing between them stopped her from pulling the trigger. “He is useful, he can get you any weapon anytime. You’ll need him.” “I won’t do s**t for that b***h Damon!” even after getting shot to think he would obey or plead, but he wasn’t — Damon didn’t even know why he bothered. “Yes we will, so shut up I would like to stay alive.” Damon hissed before his attention back on Deni. This time she had her head tilted a bit and the gun to her side. If she wanted revenge maybe those two men would help. “Fine, I’ll keep it — now let’s go where ever you can from.”
