BREAKING THE YOKE OF LOVE

Jason placed his car to a start and zoomed out of the residence, even as he stormed out of the house and into his Mercedes benz, Eva watched him from the window of the sitting room. Immediately her on and off partner for six years disappeared from view, her stiffness melted and she begun to cry. Eva had been pretending to hold it all together for the sake of her son, but it wasn't as easy ride. At the genesis of her relationship with Jason, her life was full of love, it was rosy and everything perfect. Jason was a gentleman, sweet and tender. She had fallen in love with him so much so, that she had a son for him. Eva had moved into Jason's mother's house with him back when they initially met and accepted all his lapses, she even saved for two years at her job to afford a house for the both of them. After years of a blissful relationship and a blooming love, things suddenly began to overhaul. The brutal change started when Jason began to positively accelerate the ladder in his business place, when he began to have work recognition and financial success. Before Eva could gain an insight of what the problem was in the relationship, she was menially dumped from Jason's life. Her partner soon stopped telling her details about not just his choices, but his worklife. Jason completely took Eva out of his plans and as time elapsed, their bond began to flatten. The relationship went from passionate, to omission and from bliss to bore. Eva did all that was humanly possible to save what she had with Jason, she tried online and offline help, she took advice from everything and everyone that she could, but nothing changed. Her mental health went rock-bottom when she figured out that Jason had another woman. And not only was he cheating on her, she had a child with him and had also secretly married him. So, in all the six years she'd been loyal to the man, he had been blooming another child with his boss, Franka Barbara and had tied a knot. Eva was devastated. But because of the son they shared out of love, Eva still welcomed her ex back into her life. First, it was with the pretense of being a present father for their little son, and not for the truth of missing Jason. Later, Eva began to also realise the true reason why she let Jason walk back into her life, the reason being that she was still hopelessly in love with her ex. Jason and her would still have fun-filled and passionate s*x, they would talk endlessly about his other family, they would even talk about the intimacy he had with his wife and his job details. But the one thing that Jason refused to do regardless of the s*x he had with Eva was to end things with his wife, thus breaking Eva's heart the more. Standing by the window in tears and staring, she saw Jason's car zoomed back in front of her house. Jason stormed out of his car, kicking the door shut with his shoe. She was not surprised, that was how Jason was. He had the habit of never finishing his statement and ended up returning irrespective of the distance he covered. Jason bursted into the house without knocking, “ You know what…. “ He pointed at her, “ You can't stop me from seeing my kid. Eva took a break to get herself under control, “ I loved you even when you looked like a rat struggling to breath, I moved in with you in your mother's miserable apartment, I bet I looked like your wife then! I helped you, I supported you! “ She stared around the house, “ This f*****g house came to be because I contributed, even with your useless job. Where was your boss then? “ As she asked she cried and walked over to him. “ Where was she? When I was busy being the loyal fool who loved you, you were busy cheating on me and having another child. “ Eva observed a tired pause, “ Jason, you secretly married another woman while I was still with you, why not me? “ He held her hand, “ Stop… our son is upstairs. “ “ I need to stop fu*cking you. “ She weakly let out. “ Shut the hell up. “ His deep voice settled in the air as his eyes located their five years old son sitting on the staircase. “ Son? “ “ Leave. “ She told him. “ You're not going anywhere with my son. “ He headed to where his son innocently sat. “ Fine. “ Eva heaved, “ I'm not leaving, I said that because I was fu*cking you and forgot that you had a wife. “ “ Our son_ “ You don't give a s**t. “ “ Because I have a wife that isn't you? You selfish bit*h. “ Eva was aggravated, “ You call me selfish one more time_ The relationship between the both of them wasn't filled with violence, it was the complete opposite. When Jason's cheating was discovered, the tumult materialised. Jason's marriage to his boss and his secret child sent forth a deep strife in Eva that aided and abetted the violent effect. Jason ignored her, picked his son into his bossom. He began kissing his son and patting him back to sleep. “ Sssh, “ Eva instantly went to where Jason was and forced her son back into her hands. The little boy began to cry softly. “ Nathan you want to eat something? “ He shook his head into a No. “ Okay mummy is here. “ She patted him on the back and carried him up the stairs, leaving Jason inside the sitting room. “ You're not going anywhere! “ He screamed from behind. Nathan Mamoa was five years old, he had brown hair and eyes, just like his father Jason. The only thing Nathan took from Eva were his full brows and eyelashes. Maybe that was why Jason was overprotective of him, but Eva thought that Jason was a pretentious bastard who gaslight the actual issues. Nathan was born on September, just like his father too. Nathan loved bright colors, he loved playing with the beach sand so she took him there when she had the chance to. He was a quite child, Eva believed that he was quite because he had nothing to talk about, she hid her child from every meaningful conversations, she couldn't have anything wrong registering on her infant. Lucky for her, Nathan prided being with his mother and watching cartoons. So if the sue claim from Jason was serious, she would easily win. She loved him the most when Jason was together with her, she should love him the same when he was away. Leaving was still a good idea, but before she abandoned life in lawndale, she needed a financial plan. And because she had been a lover girl who gave her absolute all to Jason, she was almost hopeless. Eva knew one thing for sure, she was going to be patient about her plan and she would be flexible. She needed enough money to start a fresh life somewhere far, she couldn't handle her life in lawndale any longer. Her relationship had gone rock bottom, her worklife had zero profit, she needed the elope. Sometimes going back to a past action was the only way to elude the present situation. Just amidst her thoughts, her phone rang. “ Lucia what do you have for me? “ Eva jumped. “ First off, is Jason dead? “ Lucia Hale, an old friend and work associate of Eva asked. Eva chuckled instead, “ Ouch, “ “ I'm not kidding. “ Lucia groaned. “ And I said ouch, he's not dead. I don't want you bringing my ex into everything. Remember that he is married, we just share a child. “ “ You know why I bring him, you still f**k him. “ “ Fine, I’m sorry. But that's besides the point, plus we had a major fight, I need money. Where can we see? “ Eva was getting impatient. “ Same place, I'll be there by 10. “ Lucia hissed, “ Eva you know what we're doing, keep it from Jason please. “ She said and ended the call. Eva knew why Lucia wanted Jason out of their plan, he would ruin every aspect of it. She watched her phone in exhilaration and relief, finally something fun and exciting was coming her way. Something to get her to stop thinking about the Jason situation and also, she would earn some extra cash for the plan she wanted to place in motion. It was exotic dancing, and this time she was going back for the sole purpose of saving enough money to leave the state. And it was the one thing she hid from her ex boyfriend and co-parent, that she was still EXOTIC DANCING. Jason would be infuriated, but that was only if he found out.
