Devil Alpha Awakens

The rain poured harder with every step Lyra took. Cold drops soaked her dress, and mud clung to her feet as she stumbled deeper into Hell Forest. Every breath burned her chest. The pain of being rejected by her mate was unlike anything she had imagined. Behind her, the Silver Moon Pack was celebrating. Without her. Alpha Lucian had rejected her before the entire pack, and no one had defended her. Not even the people she had called family. She stopped beside an ancient tree and wiped the tears from her face. "So... this is how my story ends." A cold wind answered her. The trees swayed violently, and an uneasy silence spread through the forest. Something was watching. Lyra slowly turned around. "Who's there?" No answer. Only darkness. She forced herself to keep walking, unaware that a pair of crimson eyes followed her every movement from deep within the shadows. Far beneath the forest... Ancient chains trembled. One... Two... Three... A loud crack echoed through the underground prison. A deep voice whispered, "The scent... I can smell it again." The chains glowed with strange black runes before another one snapped. Far above, Lyra suddenly felt a strange warmth spread through the mark on her neck—the place where Lucian had rejected her. She pressed her hand against it. "What is happening?" A growl answered her. Three enormous wolves stepped out of the darkness. Their fur was scarred. Their eyes glowed yellow. Rogue wolves. Their leader smiled wickedly. "Well... look what wandered into our forest." Another wolf laughed. "A rejected mate." "A lonely little she-wolf with no Alpha to protect her." Lyra stepped backward. "I don't want trouble." The leader circled her slowly. "You don't get to choose." He sniffed the air. "You're beautiful." His smile widened. "You'll fetch a good price." Lyra's heart pounded. She knew she couldn't defeat three rogues alone. Still, she refused to surrender. She picked up a broken branch from the ground and held it in front of her. The rogues burst into laughter. "She's going to fight us with a stick?" The leader lunged. Lyra swung with all her strength. The branch snapped instantly. The rogue grabbed her wrist. She struggled desperately. "Let me go!" The second rogue grabbed her shoulder. The third blocked every path of escape. Tears filled her eyes. Was this really how her life would end? Then... BOOM! The earth exploded beneath their feet. The entire forest shook violently. The rogue wolves stumbled backward. "What was that?" A deafening roar rolled across the mountains. Birds flew into the sky. Every animal fled. Even the rogue wolves looked terrified. "No..." "It can't be..." Black flames erupted from the cracked earth. Ancient symbols glowed across the ground. Huge iron chains burst upward before shattering into thousands of pieces. A powerful wave of energy swept through the forest. The rogue wolves immediately fell to their knees. Their bodies trembled uncontrollably. Lyra stared at the darkness ahead. A tall figure slowly emerged from the black flames. He wore a long black cloak that fluttered without wind. His silver hair shone beneath the lightning. His crimson eyes glowed like burning rubies. The air around him felt unbearably powerful. He didn't speak. He simply looked at the rogue wolves. That single glance was enough. All three lowered their heads to the ground. "The... Devil Alpha..." The words escaped the leader's mouth in terror. The mysterious man ignored them. Instead... He looked directly at Lyra. For the first time in a thousand years... His cold expression changed. Surprise. He took one slow step toward her. Then another. Lyra wanted to run. But her legs refused to move. The stranger stopped only inches away. His crimson eyes searched hers as though he had been looking for her forever. Then he quietly said, "So... I finally found you." At that exact moment, a brilliant silver mark appeared on Lyra's neck. The same symbol burst into flames on the stranger's chest. His eyes widened. "The ancient bond..." Far away, inside the Silver Moon Pack... Alpha Lucian suddenly dropped to one knee. He grabbed his chest in pain. "What... is this feeling?" The Moon Priest looked toward Hell Forest. His face turned pale. "No..." "The Devil Alpha has awakened."
