As she walked across the school campus on her way to her first class Sarah could not shake the feeling that somehow something was missing. That feeling you get when you know you've forgotten something and can't figure out what it could be. Somewhere in your mind something is trying to tell you that something's wrong. Had she forgotten to do something that she was supposed to do? Homework? No, she'd done that. Did she lock the door when she left for school? She'd never forgotten to do that. But maybe she had time to go back to check... No. She was being ridiculous. There was nothing that she could have possibly forgotten. Maybe she'd left the oven on? No, that was impossible.
