I was heading down to breakfast when someone knocked at the door. I opened it to find Melanie standing with her back to me. God, what did she want? Aren’t we done with this beast?

“Why did you stop me from fighting Ryanne for the last piece of bacon?” Ryder asked.
I stepped aside to show Melanie.
