Spring break reflection
Ryker
After what happened, spring break was a welcome distraction. We all went to Hawaii. Our mothers didn’t trust us alone, and our fathers would not get stuck with us. Our parents made it a family trip.
“Ryker, come on!” Val yelled.
“Shouldn’t you take it easy?” I yelled back.
“The cardio doctor cleared me. You’re wasting time. Move it, boys!”
“I swear your girl is nuts,” Ryder said.
“Yeah, but at least, she’s here.”
I grinned, and he shook his head as we hiked up the mountain. Once we reached the top, Val was looking out into the distance. I walked over and wrapped my arms around her.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” She asked.
“Yes, she is.”
She turned and smiled at me, then kissed me.
“Smile for the camera,” Ryder said.
He snapped a picture of us
