It's time

Lauren gets to the Scott's house and the guards let her in without any questions or searching like they always do. This surprises her but she does not say anything and decides to just ask Amanda about it. Speaking of which... Amanda opens the front door for Lauren and welcomes her with the most beautiful brightest smile and the red head is left confused. Doesn't she know Jaxon was at the hotel last night? Does she even realise that they were alone and a LOT could have happened between them. Amanda does not know that nothing happened, so why is she behaving like her husband did not spend time with his ex?
"Oh welcome. I thought you were not coming anymore" Amanda says and Lauren smiles awkwardly. "Uhm, I got held up" she says and the dark haired girl leads her to the kitchen. "Would you like something to eat or drink"? She offers. "Uh just water thanks" Lauren replies and Amanda rinses a glass, twice, before pouring Lauren some water adding a slice of lemon and handing it to her. "Oh Jaxon is just really stressed out I'm guessing that's why he forgot his phone. He is just not himself lately" Amanda says sadly. This is what Lauren wants, Amanda to sound sad.
"Yes... I figured he was stressed with the way.... The way he was behaving. I'm sorry to say this but, he was a bit inappropriate" Lauren says feigning remorse. Poor Amanda faces the floor looking very saddening. Lauren almost feels sorry for her, almost. "He... He is just stressed out. Forgive him please. But he's going to be okay once we find your child and finally find Alexander. You know, he blames himself for what Alexander did to me. And being a father, he can't imagine being away from even one of our kids and not knowing where they are" she says sorrowfully.
Lauren's mouth is left open in shock. How is Jaxon even with this gullible girl? She is so dumb and naive thinking Jaxon cares about all of that. Heck he made it clear he does not care about her with his actions last night. "You are right. He was just stressed. I should probably get going now, here is the phone" She says rather too quickly and places Jaxon's phone on the counter and picking up her purse. "Oh leaving already? I thought you would wait to give him the phone yourself. I'm sure he would appreciate that" Amanda says shocking Lauren further.
"I have to meet with someone" she explains. "Oh who"? Amanda asks with interest. "Uh...a..uhm ... A PI friend. I'm hoping he has something on my baby" she says and Amanda squints her eyes but shakes it off and smiles understandingly. "Yes you should do that. I'll call my brothers and see if they have anything on your baby" she says and walks Lauren out. Once they reach her car, she remembers to ask, "The guards didn't search me or ask any questions today. Do you know why"?
Amanda just shrugs it off, "Oh I told them not to. You are part of the family now and they should treat you as such". Lauren lets out a nervous chuckle and gets in her car mumbling a small goodbye before driving off. On her rear view mirror, she sees Amanda wave goodbye with a smile and she shakes her head trying to wake herself up from this crazy dream. That musy be it. No one can be the calm knowing her husband was with another woman, a woman he has been with before. She drives as fast as she can and reaches her hotel in record time rushing to her room to find her burner phone.
She starts calling and he takes too long to answer. She hangs up and tries again, this time though, he does answer with an attitude.
"You do realise you do not have to call me so often right"?
"Why didn't you tell me she had a screw loose"?
"The hell you talking about"?
"She knows he was here last night but she is so calm and so sweet it is almost like she is crazy or stupid"!
"Don't you dare call her names. Maybe she does not realise what happened between you two. Did you tell her he made a move on you"?
"No. I'm pretending to are about her remember? I can't go around blurting things out"!
"Listen to me. I do not care what you are trying to do or what you think. I want Amanda to leave Jaxon and thats it. Make it happen and don't call me until you have something worthwhile"
He hangs up the phone leaving her angrier than she has ever been. How does he expect her to make this happen when Amanda is behaving like this? She has to find another way, or else he will not let her go back to her family. That is why she is doing this, for her family and that's it. Now it's back to the drawing board for her.
Amanda goes to visit Chase back in the house Mia had originally bought for them. She has not seen her brother in so long it feels like they are neglecting each other and their mother would be so disappointed in them. She walks inside the house and looks around as she starts remembering the first time they got here. How cold Jaxon was to her.... "You will grow old if you keep overthinking so much" Chase says from behind her and she turns around jumping into his arms giggling like a little girl.
No place feels safer than her brother's arms. Yes her other brothers are there and so is her father, but Chase is a different story. This is the person who put her to sleep after a nightmare. Even if he is the younger twin, he was always the big brother she needed. "What's wrong Princess? I missed you and I know you miss me too but something is bothering you and you can't hide it from me" he says brushing her hair gently.
"Its time. It's finally time" she tells him and he sighs. "Alright then. What do we do"?
