Staying Safe

We need to finish packing the house and get out as soon as we can, there could be more hunters. Shelby call the movers to come get the stuff that they are taking home.
We should leave too, or send Donnie with them.
We need to go back to the cabin, Nikki really wants to take her GED class so she can get her diploma and I am going to let her do that. I know she maybe in danger but I can’t let this one thing that she really wants to do slip away.
I agree, my sister has been through enough already, but we do need to take Donnie somewhere safe. Everything is packed up we can decide when we get back home what is to be kept and what is to be throw away but for now I agree with Drake, Donnie needs to go somewhere safe.
And where is that?
The cabin we will go to the cabin.
Someone should stay here with Drake and Nik.
We can’t go anywhere now its daylight Donnie won’t make it.
I heard what they were saying through mind link, Drake told me it would be awhile before I could hear everyone at once, I don’t know where I am, or how long I have been out for. All I do know is we are still at the house and that there could be more hunters, I wanted to open my eyes but it felt like a force was keeping them close. My body was still healing from whatever happened, all I remember is Tucker attacking me and I was poisoned and Donnie going after him before everything went black. Everyone left except Drake I could feel his energy, he laid down beside me and fell asleep.
“He’s lying he always lied, his parents are hunters that is how he became one, he knew to pick this house because they had a future seeker, he knew you and Blake were going to be vampires. I did not know that you would be saved again so fast I thought you had more time, I did not see the hunter coming back to the house there must be cameras or something. When you wake up you and Drake need to search the house.”
“I don’t even know what to look for.”
“Yes you do think about it you saw it once before, you saw something in Donnie’s room after he was ‘killed’, think about it.”
“Oh I know what you are talking about now, if I can wake up I have been trying to wake up for a while.”
“Do you remember what happened?”
“Not really I know I was poisoned.”
“When you wake ask Drake why Donnie needs to go away.”
When I finally got my eyes open it was dark in the room, Drake was sitting in the chair next to my bed, he didn’t see I was awake at first. It took him a few minutes to realize I wasn’t asleep anymore, it took me a few minutes to find my bearings. When I first sat up I was dizzy, I laid my head back down and waited until the feeling went away, I checked both of my arms to see if there was a scar, I found one on my left arm it was bandaged. Why it was bandaged and not healed right away was beyond me, it should have healed right away, when my head felt better I sat up and swung my feet over the edge of the bed, I noticed I was wearing sweats and a short sleeve shirt it was different than what I was wearing before all this happened.
“Drake?”
“Nikki, how are you feeling?”
“Fine, what happened to Tucker after I was poisoned?”
“You don’t remember?”
“I didn’t see.”
“Donnie saved you, he got away from Shelby and flew out the door before any of us could grab him. He got ahold of Tucker before he threw you in the car, but as he grabbed Tucker, the stake that had poison on it,” Drake was saying as he took off the bandages, “scrapped your skin and the poison got inside your blood, Donnie jumped Tucker from behind and tackled him to the ground, they were fighting back and forth we though for sure Donnie was going to lose and then out of nowhere Donnie was on top of Tucker and he was drinking his blood, Donnie almost drained all of him. Then he turned to you and opened your mouth and gave you some of his blood to get the poison washed out of your system. This bandage is because the poison was like acid and it burned you skin, all we have to do to get this to heal is for you to heal it yourself.”
“How?”
“Just think about your arm and the way it was before the acid and it will heal before your eyes.”
“Why does Donnie have to go into hiding?”
“Because they hunters maybe after him.”
“Drake I need your help with something.”
“Anything Princess.”
“We need to go into Donnie’s room, I think I know how they knew we were here.”
Drake followed me into Donnie’s room to look for the camera that told them where and when we got to the house. Drake’s mom was right I did see it before, it was hidden in one of the books in Donnie’s room, one that he has never touched. It had a hole in it so the camera could see, and there was audio to it too, as soon as we brought the book down Drake disconnected it and that was the end of that, we checked all the rooms to make sure it wasn’t anywhere else then went to find everybody else. They were sitting in the basement with Donnie, his eyes were red Blake was worried.
“What’s wrong with Donnie?”
“He has had too much blood, human blood so his eyes are red until the blood leaves his system.”
“Nikki, your alive.”
“Because of you baby brother, if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be here, thank you.”
“I would do anything for you Nik you have saved me more time than I can count.”
“Can I fix you?”
“What do you mean?”
“Come here,” I said as I held Donnie close to me and imagined what his eyes looked like before they were red, when I was done his eyes were normal.
“How did you…?”
“Drake told me how I could fix my arm I just wanted to see if it worked on others.”
“WOW.”
“How long was I asleep for?”
“Four days.”
“I missed my test.”
“There is another coming up in next week we will wait to do that one then we will go home.”
“There is something I want to do before going home.”
“What?” Drake said.
I just stared at him and he knew, he knew I wanted to go to the cabin to find the guy that molested me fourteen years ago. He knew I wanted revenge, he wanted it too but he also wanted me safe.
