The hunter

He was right here came two grizzlies we each took one down, I drank as much as I could then we placed them in a spot where it would be hard to find them, it was time for us to head back and tell the others almost everything that I told Drake. There was a few things we were leaving out, we got back to the house to discover a car that is not supposed to be there in the driveway. We ran inside as fast as we could to find Tucker one of the hired helps going up to his room.

            “Tucker what are you doing here? Mom and dad sent everybody away for the week.”

            “I have been out of state taking care of my mother I never got the memo.”

            “Mom and dad aren’t home, they went out of state to look for hospitals.”

            “Aww yes your mother has cancer and you father wants the best help for her, I know, I just came to get something out of my room.” He said as he ascended the stairs as Blake was coming from the kitchen.

            “TUCKER!”

            “Blake as I have already told your sister I need to get something out of my room I will only be a minute.”

            Drake something seems off with him.

            I feel it too princess, I’ll check with Shelby to make sure she has Donnie hidden.

            “I’m sorry Tucker but you can’t be here my sister and I are taking care of everything in the house to get it ready to sell, so I need you to leave.”

            “I’m sorry Blake I can’t leave not until I get the thing out of my room.”

            “Fine but I am going with you.”

Blake followed him to his room, I got a text from dad saying they let Tucker go four months ago because of the things he was saying about hunting and killing.

            “Dad its me what do you mean?”

            ‘He was talking about hunting and killing vampires at first we thought he was crazy but all the things that we heard we knew it was true, he is dangerous and if he is there you need to get Donnie and go somewhere else he is a hunter.’

            “Dad I have to go.”

            DRAKE! He’s a hunter we got to go until he is gone now.

Drake came back into the room he said Shelby and Donnie were safe, we had to get Tucker out before we got into trouble. I went up stairs to look for Blake and found him standing outside the room that used to be Tuckers. I whispered to Blake what dad told me and that we needed to get out now, we will be back later for our things we just need to leave. We quietly descended down the stairs we got to where we left Drake, Drake was mind linking everybody at once he told me when I was a little more experienced I would be able to choose who I could mind link too, but in the mean time I was told what the others said. Shelby needed to get Donnie out of the house before he was discovered, we all agreed because Tucker was here when he died. We were too busy mind linking that we didn’t notice he came downstairs, he had a smile on his face and came over to us, he just stood there with this s**t eating grin on his face then he started talking.

            “I know what you three are, I have done a lot of research on your kind, I don’t know remember why I was so fascinated with the house when I was looking for a job. I was sixteen I just dropped out of high school my mother and father just died I had no where to go and something about this house just drew my attention, Donnie was four, Blake didn’t come around very often he only came to check on you. I knew something was different about him when I saw his eyes change from there normal green to a golden color. Then when you were in that bad car accident and little Donnie was killed but you, you came home with nothing not even a scratch and that got me thinking what if vampires were real, what if they really did exist. So I did more research on your accident it said that they buried a body but when I had the coffin unburied my suspicions came true it wasn’t Donnie that was buried it was some random child. But I know where Donnie is, he is with his brother and sister that are now a family of vampires. Your mom and dad just found out about it what two days ago and here I am knowing for years.”

            “Okay so you know what we are what do you want?”

            “I didn’t become a hunter just to let you run free I know what you do you kill.”

            “Animals we have never killed a human.”

            “Yet but you three know better young Donnie does not and given the opportunity he might he can’t fight the urge, but then again you Nicole are a young vampire too, you might be attracted to this too,” Tucker said as he cut his wrist to let the blood spill out of his arm onto the floor. Drake was telling me to stay calm my eyes were changing colors, I could smell the blood, it was a salty sweet smell, with a hint of poison. My eyes changed back to normal real fast but before I could back away, he grabbed me and had a wooden stake next to my heart.

            “If either of you move to protect her I will ram this in her heart so fast you won’t know what happened.” He started to back up I was scared I was told by Drake to just stay calm and everything will be okay. We don’t know what he was going to do to me all I know is he was dragging me outside, he was pulling me to his car. He opened the door to push me in when the door opened and then slammed, “I told you two to stand back or she will die.” He said as he raised his hand the stake cut me it was poisoned and I felt it I dropped to the ground and my arm started to sizzle like I was hit with acid. Something hit him hard I thought it was Drake or my brother Blake but as I watched the scene in front of my eyes I saw it was Donnie. I watched as Tucker got the upper hand on Donnie, Donnie was fighting so hard, I was losing my battle as I felt the poison go through my body.

The last thing I saw before I passed out was Donnie on top of Tucker’s body, I don’t know what he was doing but Tucker wasn’t moving.
