The Meeting

Skyler's POV

"Bro, what was that all about last night? Y'all was talking just fine when I left." Gio asked me as we walked to the packhouse of the Clear water pack to speak with the alpha. " Man, I don't know. She was talking about me rejecting her, then listening to reasons why I should give her a chance, but she could understand if I chose to reject her. The next thing I knew, Damon came forward and was yelling that we would be leaving in 3 days and she would be going with us.

" I told him at the same moment we reached the door. Knocking and waiting seemed like it was for ever for some one to answer it. "Yes?" the young omega said, opening the door. " Hi, I am Skyler Sliverstone here to see Alpha Holland". The girl looked like she was about to pass out, which I hoped not. My patience was low today. "Well, had you not scared my mate then I would not have whined all night." Damon growled in my head." Wait a minute you are the one that yelled at her, not me. I was trying to see why she was saying all that."

"You took too long because she was going to leave. I had to do something and I am not nice when my mate is talking about us rejecting her." "1st, she is our mate and 2nd, let me do all the talking today. I would like to leave with our mate and not go to war to get her." I say to him as the omega leads us to the Alpha's office. Hearing the fighting going on behind the door has me standing outside the door listening close.

I can hear there are a lot of people in there and put what the ass talking about my mate has my full attention. "He was supposed to reject her so I could claim her as mine! That way, I could control her wolf. We all know that she will get all her power once she is marked and matted."

I looked at Gio and put my finger on my lips for him to be quiet. As the voices continued behind the door, "Carlos, that was the plan. I can't help that f*****g Skyler Sliverstone is her mate and he didn't reject her. Maybe we can make him believe she is in love with Carlos. We all know she has had a crush on him before. What do you think dad?"

So Rob and the alpha were in there. "Well, son, I can tell you one thing, that's not going to work, because if you listened, there was a knock on the door and your nose to cry out loud cry was someone outside listening. You better hope it's your uncle and cousins or we are all f****d.

Come on in, whoever is outside," Alpha Holland said. Looking at Gio, I smile, knowing that I am about to have fun and get what I want all at the same time. We walked in with my wolf growling and I left him because I was pissed. "Alpha Holland, Rob and I guess you are Carlos." I said with a smile on my face.

"WHY didnt you reject her? We have prepared her for it her whole life. She is small and weak as well as her wolf?" Rob questioned me before his father could even say hello to me. I can feel my mate coming to the door with who I assume is her family, so I say it loud enough to make sure they hear me "Alpha Holland and Rob members.

Why would you set one of your own pack members up to be rejected by their mate? Why would I reject her?" I asked while mindlinking Gio. " Hey, say you have to make a call. Step out and make sure they don't knock. I want her and her family to hear what they are saying, let me know who all looks shocked." "Yes sir" he replies and does as he is told, "Don't act like you don't know about her power! WE WANT IT TO STAY IN OUR PACK! So we lied and told her that her mate would not want her. That he will reject her on site. You messed up the plan, tell me you don't want her power for yourself." Rob said with anger falling from each word.

"What power is he talking about?" Damon asked " I was about to ask you." was my answer to him. "What power are you talking about? I want her because she is my mate, the other half of me, and I will never reject her or leave her here with a bunch of asswholes who want to use her instead of loving her." I stated very loudly.

"Now wait a damn minute, not not dare not stand here and accuse me of not loving my niece. All I did and set up was to protect her from your father. I know what he will do if he gets his hands on my niece, the same thing he did to your mother." Alpha Holland yells using his alpha voice back. The others back away, but not me. He was not my alpha, so I could do a little better. "Hey boss, you may need to let us in." Gio's mind, " Why?"

"There are some pretty pissed men and a very upset, luna to be." Just then I could feel a little how upset she was through the bond that was forming. " OK, ya'll come in" I told him. Smiling, I turned to the door to see them all coming in. She was crying and looking at me for help. I could see in her face she was scared and upset at what had been said.

"Daddy asked me to say go stand by him please?" Carly said softly to the big man, who looked ready to kill the three that had been in the room with me. He just shakes his head, yes, and she walks to me with her head down while the tears fall from her face, making me want to kill them all.

How did her father and brothers not know what had been going on? When she gets in her arms, I pull her to my side and wait to see how this plays out before I tell them all that she will be leaving with me in less then 24 hrs. " Ok Joe OK you want to tell me about this plan you and these two have had for my child. And how can you let her go all this time thinking that her mate would reject her? Because the plan that we came up with to keep her safe from Clint had nothing to do with lying to her.

We never knew for sure that she would be Skyler's mate but it seems that you were the one I should have been worried about using her for her power." Carly's father said to the alpha. "Well, I was thinking that it would be better to keep her power in the inner circle of our pack. She could not mate with my son, the soon to be alpha, or her own brother, so when Max could not have kids and we picked Carlos to be the next beta, he was the likely choice.

So I had the boys and some of the girls in their grade and Carly started making little jabs about how small she was and how her mate would not want her. That way she would reject him if he didn't reject her first. That way we could keep her here and safe. I didnt think she would be his mate and that he would want her. Carly realized I was just trying to do what I thought was right for the pack and for you."Alpha Holland said, trying to make my mate feel bad for his choices.

" That is not OK to do to someone, especially to someone you claim to love and want to protect." We all looked to see who was talking when I realized that my mate was the one speaking.

Carly's POV

They have to be kidding to think that I have powers. I am just Carly Ann, just a small human with a small wolf. When uncle Joe gets done talking, I find myself speaking before my father can, "That is not OK to do to someone OK, especially to someone you claim to love and want to protect." They all look around like he's speaking until they figure out it's me. So I had everyone's attention, I figured that I would say what I had thought about all night. " Skyler" I said, getting him to look down at me with a look of worry at what I was about to say.

"Yes?" "Can we leave after dinner with my family tonight? That is if all this stupid stuff has not changed your mind." I said with all the hope that he would take me away from all these people that have lied to me most of my life. " Yes, we can leave then. Gio go get all our stuff ready. We leave at 9 tonight for home. Now would someone like to tell me about these powers she has?" He says to all of us as his friend leaves.

" Don't look at me, I have no clue why they are saying I have powers." I am telling him the truth, hope he believes me. My dad is the one to say, "She doesn't know, she is telling the truth. We never told her. Princess, we did it to protect you. That was the plan that me, your mother and uncles came up with." He said, looking hard at uncle Joe. "Can we finish this talk at the house with your mother.

If you are leaving tonight, she will want to spend time with you before you go." I nodded my head and we turned to leave when that stupid head opened his mouth once again. " Alpha Holland opened, you are just going to let him take her out with a fight after you promised her me! She is mine, Skyler, you can't just take, can't not yours." Carlos yells at not only Uncle Joe, but also Skyler. I knew he was stupid, but I didn't know he had a death wish.

"Let me make myself clear to all of you," Skyler stands at his full height looking at them while holding my hand. "She is my mate! If any of you try to take her from me or hurt her in any way, I will declare war on the pack and kill anyone that has caused her any pain." With that we headed for the door again with my brothers and father close behind. I thought he would let go of my hand as we walked out, but he never let go. We walked all the way to my house with every one looking at us and whispering about us. My mother wanted us on the porch.

She was smiling but it didn't go all the way to her eyes like they normally do when we all come home. " I linked her to let her know what was gong on and that you asked to leave with him." my dad whispers to me. "Why? I wanted to tell her myself." I said, looking at my mother closer and could see she had been crying. "Princess, I had to give her a heads up. Thats what you do with a mate." my father answered me.

"Hello mom" my brothers said when they reached the porch and hugged her. I hug her next and she holds on a little while longer than she did with my brothers. I grabbed his hand and walked in. We all sat around the kitchen table. My mom starts " Hi, I am Honey Johnson.

Carly Ann's mother, this is my mate Dan Johnson,, My oldest son Ben, and the current Gamma, and our twin boys Jake and Russel." She introduced everyone to Skyler. " Hi, I am Skyler Sliverstone, soon be Alpha of Blood Moon and this is my best friend and soon to be beta Gio." they all shaked hands. "Now that we all know each other can some we please tell me about these so called powers that I have." I say to my parents. My mother looks at my father, they are acting like weird. " Ok princess, we found out that you would have powers right before your 4th birthday. My wolf was out for a run, then all of a sudden there was a bright light. A beautiful lady appeared in front of me.

It was the moon goddess and she told me that we needed to protect you, that one day your mate would come and when he marked and mated you, that your powers would come in. I asked her what would happen then and she said that was all the information that I would get, that your mate would know how to help you when the time came. So when it was over, I told your uncles and mom. We came up with the plan not to tell you.

We didn't want the wrong person to find out about it, but little did I know that your uncle would be the one that I should have kept it from." That was the last thing my dad said about the subject. "Baby are you mad at us for not telling you?" My mother asked with tears in her. Was I mad? " No mother, I am not mad. I'll have reasons to keep it from me. Now I am going to my room. Please call me when dinner is done." I got up and walked to my room and could hear my mother cry to Skyler crying to him that they really did love me and didn't know anything about the deal between the alpha and Carlos. I was packing all of my stuff when there was a knock on the door. " Come in. " I stopped to see who it was.

Gio was standing there. " Can I take your boxes down for you? Your family and Skyler are waiting for you to have dinner." "O OK. You are not eating?" I asked him, handing him a couple of boxes. " O No, I ate earlier when I went and got our stuff." We walked down together as we walked into the kitchen saw my mother hugging Skyler. "What's going on, in here?" Gio and myself asked at the same time making us laugh.

"Well, I asked your mother and them if they would like and you were OK with it OK that they could come visit for the weekend to see that everything was OK at in blood moon," Skyler said as he walked to me. I wanted to hug him so much because of that. "So do it or I will" Tessa said, "I cant. He will think I am crazy." "OK, I warned you." The next thing I knew, my arms were around his neck. He was shocked, then his arms were wrapped around me.

We ate dinner and then it was time to go.We said good bye and loaded up.
