The Party

Carly's POV

5 years later

It's the last day of school and I can't wait. My dad has retired and Ben is now Gamma , so dad is taking us on a vacation to Galveston. I hope I find my mate this summer before school goes back. I hate school and if I have a mate my parents no longer have a say. Its kind of like freedom lol.

"Hey Carly!" My best friend and, soon to be, Luna, Leah me as we left school and headed to my house. "Hey what's up?"

"Are you sure you don't want to come to the party tonight? It's the last chance we have to hang, before you leave and I start my Luna training," she said, with a pout on her face. I hate telling her no but to get my brothers and dad to say yes was like eating hated bean and not getting sick. " You know I would if I could.

Hey, maybe if you ask if I can stay the night I could go. They like you and, since you are the next Luna, they say yes." I said with a sly smile and shook her head, yes" while laughing. We walked the rest of the way home talking and laughing, not ready for the fun to end.

We walked into my house and I could smell my mother's baking cookies."Hey Mom", "Hey Mrs. Johnson" we both walked as we walked into the kitchen. I love my mom so much. She is the only one that understands that I need a life outside this house. " Hey girls, How was the last day of school?" mom asked with a big smile.

" It was good your girl here aced all her tests and even managed to score the highest in math." I said at that time, dad walked in with a big grin, " That's my girl" he said as he kissed my head. " Hey Leah or should I say Luna Leah?" We all laughed, I mindlinked Leah to ask now. " Mr and Mrs Johnson is there any way that Carly can stay the night with me tonight since yall are leaving tomorrow and I start Luna training in the next day?" Leah asked with puppy dog eyes.

At that moment, the two stupid heads walk in, aka my twin big brothers. "They just want Carly to go to the party, dad." They say at the same time. Dad looks at us like we have 2 heads. "Girls?" "Ok Dad, I want to do both senior year and have never been to a party. never been in big trouble. Please Just this one time everyone is going, even the future Beta Carlos ( aka my crush) please dad." I asked with big eyes and a pout.

"Yes" mom said before dad or the boys could voice anything, "Honey, we should talk before you just say yes!". dad yelled at mom. " Girls go to the room." We walked to the stairs and ran up. They are acting like we can't hear up here. " Dan, this is her last summer to be a kid. Let her go! Skyler is far away and we leave in the morning. Plus, if they are all at the party, we can have our own party," mom says, with a shy smile on her face.

"Fine but the twins have to go too." "Deal" "Girls and boys". Dad yells up to us all. We all hurried down, us girls hoping that the answer was yes and the boys hoping we were in trouble. Dad, using his old gamma voice, " Ladies, you can all go but you all have to come here after the party and...

" We looked at each other like we looked like we had won, until he said " But your brothers have to go as well and you are to go with them and leave with only them." Russell was mad but Jake had no plans, so he was fine, to go. " Let's go get ready.

Skyler's POV

We are on the way to yet another pack to try and find my mate. We only have two more packs left before my birthday and I get stuck with a girl of my father's choice. "Man, I hope that we find her here. I miss my bed and am sick of traveling", my best friend and, soon to be Beta Gio, complains again, like he does every time we move on to a new pack.

" You don't think that I am trying. I want to find her too, so we can go home and I can become alpha!" I yelled at him, so sick of hearing it. We were stopped at a gas station by Clear Water Pack and I could smell that the people in front of us were werewolves. " Are you going to a night out party? You know that there will be a lot of shews there." Now there's an idea of a way to meet them without having to deal with the alpha of the Clear Water Pack. If she is not there, then I can move on and save time.

" Hey Gio ", I whispered," Yes?" "We are going to that party tonight."

Carly's POV

Leah straightened my long black hair that went down the middle of my back. It is not long since I was only 5', even that's small for a werewolf. Most are well over 6'. No one knows why I am so little seen, but here I am and my future mate will reject me because I am small and he is also small."What are you thinking so hard about ?" Leah asked, seeing as she sees my hair and make-up. "I sees he he am just thinking about my future mate and how when sees meets me he he will reject when he see me?"

I said with no hope in me. "Why would he be beautiful and smart?" Thats why Leah is my best friend and she will make a good Luna. I don't see anything wrong with me being five foot and even a small wolf. " He is not going to want a small human and a small wolf." "He will love us to get over yourself," my wolf, Tessa said, she hates when I talk mess on us. " Hey come lets have fun and for get about this crazy idea of your mate rejecting you." Leah said as we walk out with my big brothers hot on our heels.

As we got to the party, the music was loud and there were so many people, a lot from our pack and some from other packs. " Hurry up and get in there!!!!!" Tessa was going crazy in my head. " What is it? It's just a party. We have been to parties before." "I am not sure. I just feel like we need to get in there."

I shook my head at her. My wolf is normally really quiet, so it scared me because of her acting crazy and talking like that. Leah left me to go find Rob, so I walked around trying to figure out what was up with Tessa when I ran smack into a brick wall. I looked up and looked at them with the green eyes I had ever seen. Tessa is going crazy saying mate over and over again. Before I could say anything, my brother had pulled me from the arms of the best-looking man I had seen.

"Get your hands off my MATE" the man growls as my brother pushes me behind him. I then realized the music had stopped and the whole party was looking at us. " Guys, can we please move this little conversation outside?" another guy was claiming me as his mate. "Yes, let's do that!" Jake said with a low growl. I didnt understand why Jake was being like that. My brothers had to realize that one day I would find a mate just like them. We were walking out and I could see Jake mindlinking with someone. By the time we reached the back yard, my other 2 brothers were there and Ben looked like he was ready for blood.

"Gamma Johnson, why are you here and can you please tell that boy to let go of my mate? I don't know how much longer I can keep my temper and my wolf at bay." the man claiming to be my mate is being nice when I can tell he wants to rip Jake's arm off his body. Tessa is fighting the hold Jake has but all it is doing is hurting my arm, which I can tell is pissing my mate off more by the minute.

Skyler's POV

As me and Gio get to the party my wolf is going crazy. "She is here, I can feel her. We have to find our mate", my wolf, Damon, says in my head, which makes me walk faster. Then poor Gio wants to go," Man, what's the hurry? It is just a party. If this plan doesn't work, then we can meet the alpha in the morning." Gio's mind links to me yelling " She is here!" I yelled through the link. That gets him moving. Not only does that mean we can go home, but it also means his Luna is there.

We walked into the back door. The room was filled with people. Just as we start moving in the room, the most wonderful smell of lemon and honey hits my nose at the same time as I fill a small bump. I look down and see a pair of big brown eyes looking up at me as she goes to say something. A man puts his hands on her arms, pulling her from me. "Get your hands off my MATE!" Damon growls at the boy. Gio steps in getting us to move out side seeing that we or should I say I cause a seen and everyone was looking at us. "Gio stay with us I dont know how long I can keep my cool, plus he is mind linking some one." "Yes sir and another join as we was walking out the house. Why is the Gamma here?" Gio asked as we came to a stop in the back yard.

"Gamma Johnson, why are you here? And can you tell that boy to let go of my Mate? I dont know how much longer I can keep my wolf at bay." I said while looking at the man with his hands all over my mate. " He is hurting our mate!" Damon growls in my head, which makes me more pissed. "Before I tell my brother to let go of my sister can you tell me who the HELL you are."

Gamma Johnson and the boys are my mate's brothers, which calms Damon down a little. They are trying to protect their sister from a strange wolf, but I am her mate. I would never hurt my mate and I was about to say those words when she finally said "He is my mate, please just let me talk to him, then I will go home with you all." she said to them. She looks at me and never breaks up with me.

"What was his name before I lived here with him," Gamma Johnson said. This is where she, will get scared and change her mind about talking to me, but I stood up straight and said "Skyler Sliverston, the soon, to be Alpha of the Blood Moon pack, and this is my best friend and, soon to be, beta Giovanni Sablone." The boys,,, step back pulling my mate with them with a little fear in their eyes but not her, she just stood her ground.

I could feel her fear but she was not showing it. " OK, he told you who he is not, please let us talk!" she said a little louder than before. "Fine, but you only have 30 minutes, then we leave and he has to talk to the alpha in the morning." Gamma Johnson said "We will be over there!" the one holding her pointed and they walked away."Gio can you leave us now."

I turned to talk to her and saw she was walking in the woods. Jogged to her, " Thought we were going to talk?" I asked her " We are, I just want out of the view for a little bit." she said so soft almost missing her say it at all. When we stopped, she turned to me with an ankle. Smiling back, she said "I am going to talk 1st and then you can reject me. I will understand, just please let me finish." a small growl leaves my lips at the words "Why would I reject you?" "Just say you will let me finish talking." she says so sadly, neither me or Damon likes it.

"Fine." She took a deep breath " My name is Carly Ann. I am small, so is my wolf, but I can cook, clean, and I am very book-smart. I can help you out, but if you don't want a weak and small mate, then I understand."Carly says with tears going down her face, which tells me that someone has told her all this. I look at her. Yes, she is small compared to others, but beautiful to me. She has long black hair that goes down her back past her ass, with a nice olive tan.

Carly turned and started to walk away and started her arms. "Where are you going?" I asked, looking at her shocked face. " I was going to lean on the tree while you figured out how to reject me nicely." Another growl left me and I could hear Gio and her brothers probably walking probably us probaly worried I was going to hurt her like my dad does to women. Gio knows better but the others don't.

"I will not be rejecting you today or any other. You are my mate and will be leaving with me in 3 days!" I yelled as they all got to us and she all but jumped in her brother's arms. "WE are done here. I am taking my sister home NOW!" Gamma Johnson says. And with that, I watched her leave.
