Sara debated telling Leo about Peter’s kiss all day. It felt like the right thing to do, but she didn’t want to fight with him for her last couple weeks. As soon as it happened, she pushed Peter away and told him they were just friends, so Leo couldn’t be mad. Sara did nothing wrong. But she wasn’t willing to risk Leo not seeing it that way. She knocked on his door and waited for him to answer. There was a cool breeze coming off the lake, bringing the earthy scent of the vineyard toward her.
