MONDAY MORNING ROLLED around too soon. I had a late start, so Matt and I left for work at the same time. My regular car park was taken, so I parked Bertie a bit further down the road. “Where have you been all weekend?” Mandy asked. “Umm.” I fidgeted with my collar, the heat rising up my neck. “I was at Matt’s.” “Ooh, walk of shame?
