Matt and I saw a lot of each other, and saw each other quite frequently too.
He reserved two nights a week for lesson planning and marking school work, but we met up every other day. I’d always thought that teachers had it easy, only working eight ‘til two-thirty and having school holidays off, but it doesn’t actually work like that. Matt never left the primary school until after four pm and often much later.
Then there was all the work he did at home. He used to do most of it on the weekend, but he’d shuffled his routine around so we could coordinate spending time together around my rotating roster and his Monday to Friday job.
