The Elite

Chapter 15

I walked into my room and again the 3 amigos were in my room.

“Don’t you guys have your own room?”

“I mean we do, but your room is way better.” Oli said, smiling as he and Mateo shoved cookies in their mouths.

“So don’t keep us waiting. How did your little date go?” Mateo asked with a mouth full of cookies.

I felt like I was floating from a simple walk. “It was great. And he kissed me!”

For the first time in my life, I felt pure bliss and I was excited to share it with them. The next hour, I did most of the talking and it was all about Bryan.

“ OK, we need to get to bed so we can go for a run before training tomorrow." Demetri said, making his way towards the other room.

“Yeah, I will see you guys in the morning.” I said, pulling my covers up to my chin. That night was the first night I fell asleep thinking I might actually be worth something.

The next morning, I was up and moving before the guys but they trickled into my room one by one.

“I am so grateful you are letting us use your bathroom. There is no way we would make it to breakfast unless we got up at 2 in the morning.” Mateo said.

“What are they doing in there for so long?” Demetri asked.

“I don’t want to know,” Oli replied.

Laughing, the four of us made our way to breakfast. As soon as we entered, I noticed a change in the seating. Our four seats were at the furthest end of the table and Bryan’s group usually was the closest group to the instructors.

But today his group was next to our empty seats. Bryan and I made eye contact and his beautiful face broke out into a smile. I made my way to the seat right next to him.

“Good Morning beautiful.” He said as soon as I sat down.

“Good Morning.”

“I pulled a couple strings and had the seating changed. I hope you don’t mind.”

“No, I like it. Like a lot.”

“So are you going to introduce us or what Bryan?” Said the blonde man across from Bryan.

Bryan rolled his eyes. “This is Mark.” He said, pointing at the blonde. “And this guy next to me is Julian and across from him is Tony. Guys, this is Liv, Oli, Demetri, and Mateo.”

“Nice to meet you.” I said, reaching my hand out to Mark.

“It is really nice to meet the women that finally got Bryan to smile,” Mark said.

I looked over at Bryan and he smiled and shrugged his shoulders. Before I could ask any questions, food was placed in front of us. We quickly ate because we had to head to training. Bryan’s group was done extremely quickly and as they stood up, Bryan leaned over and kissed my cheek.

“I will see you at lunch. Have a good day.” He turned and was gone.

We stood and headed toward the training facility. The next 3 hours were the hardest I have ever trained. I felt like I could barely walk on our way to lunch. But then I saw Bryan and I didn’t feel as tired. Unfortunately, lunch went too fast and we rushed to class.

The work load was crazy. I didn’t know when we would sleep. Before dinner, we had another training session and time to take a shower. While we were getting ready for dinner, we managed to get a little bit of studying in.

Dinner went by fast and after dinner Bryan followed me to my room. He only stayed for a few minutes so I could study, but I loved every second he spent with me.

That is how the next month went for the four of us. Training, studying, and I spent every free minute I could with Bryan. We spent every Sunday together.

He opened up about his family. Turns out, when he found his mate a week after he turned 18. He thought everything was great. He took her home to his pack and before they mated and marked each other she rejected him for his older brother.

His mate found she could be a Luna and his brother was worried Bryan would try to take his title, since he was the first to find his mate. The worst part is, his parents supported his older brother and just wanted the future Alpha to be happy.

Bryan left his pack the following day and went to his grandparents'. For 3 years, he trained and even started his own business. That was when he finally got into Elite Academy. His Grandfather was currently running the business while he was there.

Elite training usually lasts two years and then you could go back to your pack or you could be offered a position with the King’s Elite. His two years will be complete in February. He was hoping for an offer to work with the king until I walked into his life.

I woke up this Sunday super excited because this was the first time we were able to call home. We only got 20 minutes and we could only make one call, but I was excited. Mateo and Demetri shared my excitement.

Oli, however, didn’t have anybody he wanted to call. Which broke my heart, but he didn’t seem to care.

I spent the first part of the morning with Bryan.

“Did you decide on who you are going to call?”

“No, I want to call Noah but I should call my parents, but I doubt they will even care. What if he doesn’t answer?”

“If you knew that both would answer, who would you call?”

“Noah.”

“Why?”

“He was the one that made time for me before I left. He was excited for me to get accepted and I knew if I told him I was leaving at 4 AM he would have been there with me.”

“Then call Noah.”

I jumped into Bryan’s lap and placed a kiss on his lips. “Thank you.”

“Anything for my girl.”

That’s right. I was Bryan’s girlfriend. Aura loved the idea even though our mate hadn’t rejected us yet.

“ OK babe, I am going to head out with Oli and train but we will be back in about an hour to hear all about your call.”

He kissed me quickly and headed out.

I prayed Noah would answer and I don’t know why I was so nervous, it was my big brother. It will be fine, or at least I hope.
