Slumping down in his seat, he leaned his head against the wall and closed his eyes. Right behind him was a short stock guy. Who seemed just as crabby.
“Brutus,” Titan said and nodded his head.
The stocky guy grumbled and nodded his head. Moments later, the bus started to move. Finally, I looked over to our Russian friend.
“Hi, I'm Liv.” I put my hand out towards the unknown man.
He looked at my hand for a minute and finally grabbed it and gave me a firm hand shake.
“Demetri.”
“Well, Demetri, this is Oli and Mateo.”
He still looked uncertain but shook both of their hands.
“I bet that flight here sucked and now you are stuck on a 3 hour bus ride.” I said, looking right into his big blue eyes. His black hair made those eyes look even darker.
I watched as his lips moved into a small smile and he chuckled just a little.
Just then Mateo spoke up. “Here man, this makes me feel better.”
He tossed Demetri a candy bar. Demetri looked at it and started laughing harder. “Candy?”
“Why not?” Mateo said, shrugging his shoulders. Next thing I knew, the entire bus was laughing, even Mr. grumpy pants Brutus. I'm not sure what was so funny but I think we all needed to let it out.
The rest of the ride consisted of all of us chatting and getting to know each other. The three hours seemed to go by fast. Because before I knew it, the bus came to stop and the doors were opened.
Stepping off of the bus, the air seemed cooler than Texas for sure. I grabbed my bag and the four of us followed Titan and Dean into what looked like a large farm house. Its size was in comparison to a pack house.
In the distance, I could see 3 large buildings that looked like giant barns. Before I could take in anymore of the outside, we were taken into the front of the house. As we stepped into it, it felt just like a pack house. There was a living room and an office and a grand staircase.
They led us up the stairs to the third floor. We stopped at the second door and Titan pushed it open.
“Normally, the four of you would share a room but, since Liv is a female, we thought it might be better if she had her own room.”
The room had a large bed and a huge desk and a couch with a comfy-looking chair.
“Liv, you are here and there is an attached bathroom. You will find that you are the only woman here.” Dean said, pointing to the bathroom to the right of the closet.
“This is huge.” I said, looking around.
“Normally these rooms have 4-6 men in them, so…” Dean said, shrugging his shoulders.
“The rest of you are next door and there is a door from Liv’s room to your room. You will be spending a lot of time together.” Titan said, pushing a door open to the attached room.
I followed the others into the room. It had a single bed and a set of bunk beds. It was the same size but didn’t feel as big because of the desks and extra bed.
“There are two bathrooms at the end of this hall. They are shared with the entire floor. So good luck fellas.” Dean said, chuckling.
“Dinner will be served in an hour. Be sure to be on time,” Titan said, and the two of them walked out.
“A shared bathroom is going to suck.” Mateo said, throwing his bag on the top bunk.
“You guys can always use mine if you don’t pee on the seat and help me clean it.”
All three of them seemed really surprised. “For real?” Oli asked.
“Why wouldn’t I? We are supposed to be a pack right? I am going to let you guys figure out the sleeping arrangements and I am going to go unpack.”
About a half hour later, the 3 of them made their way back to my room. Oli threw himself on to my bed. “Man, this is way softer than mine. Can I share with you?”
“Nope.” I said, laughing at him.
“Let’s head down for dinner now so we can find the kitchen,” Mateo said.
“Let’s go.” I said, opening my door and walking out. We made our way down the stairs and headed in the direction of the food cooking.
The kitchen was busy and the people cooking were all women. We made our way toward the dining hall to find it was already full. As soon as we entered the room, a silence fell over the crowd.
“You’re early. Excellent!” Titan said, walking in behind us. “Follow me, don’t just stand there.”
He led us to the end of the table and there were 2 seats on the right and 2 seats across the table.
“These are your seats.”
We sat down and everybody started talking again. I watched as a few more men found the table. Aura started pacing back and forth in my head.
**Mind Link**
“What is wrong with you?” I asked.
“I don’t know, I just can’t seem to sit still.”
“Try to relax. You are making me want to jump out of my seat and run.”
“I will try.”
I took count of how many people were sitting around this incredibly long table. There were 4 groups of 6 and 3 groups of 4 including us. But there seemed to be a group missing. As if they heard me, 4 men walked in.
My eyes fell on one in particular. He was taller than the rest by at least 2 inches and his shirt was pulled tight against his muscles. He had jet black hair and his 5 o’clock shadow gave him a sexy, rugged look. But he had the most amazing green eyes I had ever seen. Those eyes fell on me and at that moment it felt like it was just the two of us in the room.
