I headed home with Noah around 6 to find an empty house. Which didn’t surprise me. I am sure my parents were mad after the outburst last night and it was my own fault. I know how to control my emotions. I have been training on control since I can remember.
“You want to grab dinner?” Noah asked.
“Nah, I will just grab a sandwich. Do you want one?”
“You know I do.”
We had just finished eating when my phone rang and it was an unknown number. “I have to take this.”
“Hello?”
“May I speak to Olivia Kincaid?”
“This is.”
“This is Titan. I will be your escort to Elite training tomorrow. I need to move up our time for the pickup.”
“ OK, what time should I be in front of the pack house?”
“4 AM”
“ I will be ready.”
“Great, I will see you then. Bye.”
“Bye.”
As Noah and I cleaned up the kitchen, in walked my parents with Alpha David and Haisley. I saw the leftovers from wherever they had grabbed dinner. They were all laughing until they saw me. An awkward silence filled the room.
I waited to hear either of my parents say something, but my father looked down and my mother wouldn’t even look at me.
I just shook my head and headed to my room. I set my alarm and set everything up for tomorrow morning. Shortly after I crawled into bed, I heard a knock at my door but I didn’t want to hear it. I just pretended to be asleep.
The next morning, my alarm went off at 3. I jumped out of bed and went for a quick run. As soon as I was back, I jumped in the shower and swiftly got dressed and made my way to my pack house, grabbing an apple on my way out the door.
I arrived at 3:56 AM and 4 minutes later a black SUV came to stop in front of me. A large man stepped out of the SUV, he had a scruffy beard and his eyes looked kind.
"Olivia Kincaid. I'm Titan."
He reached out and shook my hand and then grabbed my bag. “You can call me Liv.”
“Alright Liv, let’s get going.” I nodded and climbed into the SUV.
We made our way to the airport. I was surprised when Titan led me to a private plane.
“We have another stop to make and pick up another escort and his student and then we will be on our way to Elite training.”
“Sounds good.”
“Feel free to sleep.”
“I’m not tired, but thank you.”
“How does some food sound? I can always eat.”
I chuckled a bit. “Food sounds wonderful.”
I really liked Titan. He was funny and easy to talk to and the best part was he never asked once why I was standing alone at pickup.
