Chapter 7

I woke the next morning tucked in Wyatt’s arms. I tried to wiggle my way out of Wyatt’s grip without waking him, but he wasn’t having it. “I finally got you in my bed. Do you think I am going to let you out so easily?” “Wyatt!” Laughing, he rolled to his side and kissed me before letting me go. “I had one of the pack members bring you some clothes. I figured you didn’t want to head home yet.” “Thank you. I am going to jump in the shower.” “I will grab us some breakfast.” I grabbed the clothes that were left for me and showered. By the time I came out of the shower, Wyatt had breakfast sitting at his desk. “So Alpha Samuel and his son Owen of the Moon Valley pack will be coming in about an hour. I am all yours until then.” “I need you to promise me something, Wyatt.” “Anything.” “When you find your mate, we will stay as close as we are now. Minus you kissing me.” He laughed but agreed. “I promise, if I ever find her.” “Oh please it’s only been a year since you turned 18. You have time.” We spent the next hour talking and laughing. Until it was time for him to go meet the Alpha and his son. “Come on.” “What?” “Come with me. You know that my Dad is going to just call you in anyway.” We made our way to the bottom of the stairs and I could look up to see Lucas staring at me. I didn’t keep eye contact. I just made my way closer to the door. We only stood in silence for about 5 minutes before there was a knock on the door. The door opened and in walked Alpha Samual, his son Owen, and his daughter. The second she stepped through the door, I heard Wyatt growl “Mate.” I watched as her eyes turned black and then back to her grey-blue eyes. She whispered. “Mate.” She was beautiful with strawberry blonde hair that fell past her shoulders. Everybody remained silent and neither of them moved. As if they were glued to the ground. After about 5 minutes, I couldn’t take it anymore. I was so happy for Wyatt. “Go get her.” I placed my hand on his back and gave him a little push. He looked at me and I could see the struggle in his eyes. I smiled and, for the first time over the last 3 days, it was a real smile. “I need to see my best friend has found his mate, now go on.” I could see her out of the corner of my eye smiling at me. I gave Wyatt another small push and this time he moved right towards her. He leaned down and whispered "hi" before placing a kiss on her lips. I was perfect and I wanted to jump up and down. I was so excited for them. “Well, I guess that means our packs will be spending even more time together, “ Alpha Samuel said with a chuckle. The three Alpha’s headed toward the office. I quickly went to the beautiful couple in front of me. “Layla, this is my best friend Liv. Liv, this is my mate Layla.” I grabbed her and pulled her into a hug. “I am so happy he has found his mate. Please take care of him.” “I have been looking for him for the past two years. I will take care of him.” I turned to Wyatt. I pulled him into a hug. “I told you waiting for your mate was worth it.” “Thank you Liv.” “I will call or write as soon as I can. You know I can’t take my phone, but as soon as I can I want to hear all about the two of you.” They both smiled and I turned to leave, but I didn’t make it far before I heard the Alpha call my name. I made my way into his office. “Liv, come in, I will make this quick.” He stood up and pulled me into a tight hug. “You are an amazing wolf and I know you are going to do great things. I don't think I will get to see you before you leave. So I wanted to get a chance to say goodbye. I am really going to miss you.” “Thank you Alpha Edward. I will miss you too.” I said goodbye and made my way out of the Pack House. I mind linked Anna, who was with Noah and made plans to meet up for lunch. I was going to avoid going home at all cost. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When I got to the restaurant, I found Noah and Anna already in a booth. I slid into the booth across from them. “Hey Liv, you OK?” “Yeah Noah. I’m fine. I’m used to it.” “Mom waited this morning for you before she left with Haisley.” “Let me guess she waited till 10?” Silence filled the air. “Not exactly, but she said she was going to wait.” “What time did she leave?” Noah didn’t say anything but Anna couldn’t keep it in. “She left at 8:30 because they wanted to get to the store when they opened.” “Lets order and talk about something else, it’s my last day here.” That is exactly what we did. We spend the next couple of hours hanging out at Anna’s and just enjoying our last day together.
