Chapter 32 It's Our Duty

Ashleigh's POV

Thundering urgent banging echoes around the room from the bedroom door waking me up startled and alert, jumping instantly at how loud the knocking is. Dominic is the one to get up quickly out of bed. He pulls on a pair of shorts from the floor with haste, before he answers the door.

He reaches out and as soon as his hand hits the doorknob he opens it just as quickly... It's Stefanie and Nate. Nate looks nervous but protective as Stefanie looks determined. It's too early to be this determined I wonder what's going on.

"Sorry Alpha she was worried about Ashleigh since she didn't get to see her last night," Nate says this with his head hanging down in obedience, trying to explain before any of us get mad, but I'm used to her barging into my business all the time.. that's how she had always done things when it comes to me.

She looks back at Nate as if she is telling him in that one look that he shouldn't be apologizing, giving him a surprised look on his face, which makes me smile. They're great for each other already, I like them together, and I think they will balance each other out, no doubt about that.

"Ashleigh and I are fine.. we just got a little.. um.. distracted..and then fell asleep." Dominic tries to explain without going into too much detail.

Stefanie chuckles leaning into the doorway to look at me. I already pulled the blanket over my chest but you can still tell and assume I'm naked under the blanket by all the skin you can see. I blush and wave with a cheeky grin on my face, making all of them laugh back at my early morning embarrassment.

"Yea, you both got distracted...You have got to get onto making those twins huh?" she asks with so much humor in her tone, causing Dominic and me to chuckle... Dominic is the one to respond for us, "Well we have to do our duty for the werewolf existence of course...I don't think we have made them yet.. so we might not see you guys until lunch! We need to get on making these babies it might at least take 30 more times!" I scoff and blush as Dominic laughs at my reaction.

"Your Duty.. of course.. it has nothing to do will my bestie's hot bod.. right? Yea should at least take 30 times! Go get her Dom, get us our twins! And I'll be sure to see you guys at lunch! But the Alpha dinner thing is tonight so just be prepared." Stefanie instructs as she giggles then shuts the door behind her.

Dominic locks the door, turns around smirking at me, and wiggles his eyebrows as I smile and then shake my head in disapproval at him... He takes his shorts by the waistband, throwing them down his legs and to the floor with so much haste. He runs jumping onto the bed making me giggle and squeal bouncing underneath him on the bed.

He swipes the blanket away just to get under it, then attacks my body with kisses, caressing and making sure there was no space between us, beginning our next couple sessions of lovemaking to help stress relieve and doing our duty for the future of the werewolf existence as Dom says... But I can't complain, I'm having an exhilarating time, it's at least helping take my mind off of things even if just for a moment.

After a wonderful s*x-driven, tantalizingly time-consuming morning... we finally decide to call it quits... Mostly just because I said so and Dominic is only agreeing so I will give him s*x later.. but I'm starving and need something in my system, so he will just have to wait and be patient. He is a big werewolf anyways how is he not hungry? He has to be, he is just s*x-driven and will have s*x until the moment he dies if he could. But you won't die from being deprived of s*x but you will die from malnourishment so I'll take my chances at missing out on s*x for food.. sorry Dom.

Dominic groans trekking around the room behind me like a child who didn't get his way. I can't help but laugh at his childishness.

"Complain all you want Dom, you're still not getting your way, I don't negotiate with terrorists.. and Aurora was way better at making me feel worse than you, so I got years of practice under my belt. I need food so sorry if that upsets your plan for today but I'm a girl who has got to eat!" I state as a matter of fact as I pull my thong up and snap together my bra.

"Ugh of course Aurora has to beat me again, even though I'm trying with all my might... again. Fine, you win, we can eat, but I swear on the moon goddess we will continue our duty, I'm claiming you for tonight!" He says in a humorous tone making me smile and laugh responding, "You can't threaten me with a good time.. you... beast." I say in a sexy tone as he lets out a deep purr in his chest as his eyes flip back and forth between colors, saying, "Oh I'll show you a beast." After that statement, he is by my side in no time at all kissing me with passion and hunger. Causing me to smile and then moan into his lips. I have to reluctantly break the kiss for a small moment, just to say, "Mmm.. fine! you better have your beastly way with me quickly, because I'm starving." He smirks down at me crashing his lips to mine, once again igniting another sexy, time-filled, memorable moment.

After who knows how long we finally separate ourselves. "Alright Alpha stud, time to get me some food! I can't make babies do our duty, on an empty stomach. I'm dying, baby! I need to eat!" I yell dramatically as I drag myself out of bed. I love the fun times we are having, believe me, but I need to eat before I pass out from exhaustion.

He throws his head back as he lets out his melodic laugh. When he looks back at me smiling at me he earns a smile and a wink in response as I put on my clothes again.

He joins me, getting dressed eight beside me but that's when I notice that he can't seem to stop smirking at me. I look from my clothing to his face and then back to my clothing a couple of times back and forth curiously. Until I finally just have to know. "What? Do I have something in my face? Why are you smirking at me like that?" I ask wondering what the cute goofy look on his face is for.

"You just don't know how happy you make me Ash." He says sweetly to me as I scoff, smirking then retort, "Why because I give you mind-blowing s*x?"

He laughs again, shaking his head, smiling the biggest smile across his face at me. "Well the mind-blowing s*x is a big plus for sure." he says throwing his hands up, showing how big, before he continues, "but I love that you give me a reason to exist, to smile, to be happy... you have single-handedly given me everything I wanted and I couldn't be happier.. thank you... plus your eye candy for sure." He says sneaking the last sentence in the last second, as I laugh shaking my head at him.

"I mean it, baby, I love to joke with you because it keeps that stunning smile on your face and lets that angelic laugh of yours fill my ears but I honestly and truly mean it.. from both Miles and I." My laughing quiets down as I just smile and nod in understanding as I retort. "Well, I'm glad we can give each other happiness because you're the reason I stand here today and I literally wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for you.. so sorry I'm crazy but thank you for accepting it," I say as she smiles back nodding. "That right there, always making me smile is probably my favorite part of being with you. I have never smiled so much in my life that my facial muscles are feeling overworked!" He says even more dramatically. I put on my shoes as I walk to his side extending my hand to his as I retort, trying to keep a straight face, but it's not working very well. "I'll give your face a moment to rest, as I eat to my heart's desire my love."

He takes my hand in his as he gets my attention saying, "Can I eat to my heart's desire? I promise my pastime will be more fun for you."

I scoff playfully hitting his chest as I reply, "Yea probably but eating with fulfill my hunger and then you can fulfill my desires later..deal?" I put my hand out again making him smile and say, "Deal, you had me at, 'you can fulfill' you don't have to ask me twice. Now let's get you food so I can continue with my desires!" He pulls me behind him out of the room quickly as I giggle in his grip. I prance down the hallway and descend the stairs behind him as I start to hear gasps, my name, and thuds from all around as the pack members make eye contact with me then bow quickly hitting the floor.

I freeze not understanding what's going on. "What's happening? Did I do something wrong?" I ask curiously as Dominic shakes his head saying, "Ash baby you have the look of the moon goddess now there is no way to hide that you're important and part goddess. They all knew the moment they lay eyes on you, they bow out of respect " My mouth goes to almost an O shape as I say a soft, "Thank you, but you all may stand."

All the pack members hesitantly and slowly stand up. I start to continue down the stairs as I see the same old lady that use to live down the street from me.

"Goddess Ashleigh and future Luna may I have a moment of your time." She asks bowing slightly.

I respond instantly, "Of course Mrs.Miller how may I help you?"

She smiles up at me as she says, "I didn't know if you ever really knew my name it's nice to know that I'm memorable to some... But I just wanted to give you my condolences for your awful loss. You nor your family deserved that at all."

I nod at her as I respond, "Of course, I remember you. you've always been so nice to me no matter how anyone else treated me and I thank you for that... But Thank you I appreciate your condolences. My grandmother, the moon goddess told me she made sure my daughter went with no pain so she could be with her. So I couldn't be happier knowing she is in safe hands now that I can't be with her. But hopefully, someday I can see her again. But thank you... I'm sorry for all of your losses as well... To lose your Alpha and Luna on the same day must be something horrific and heartbreaking for your whole pack..but everything happens for a reason no matter what the reason, whether we like it or not. But I'm confident you're in great hands with Alpha Mike. This will be hard at first for everyone but he has seen and learned so much in the past couple of days that he will lead you all to a successful happy life just given the chance... Just please give my brother a chance, he deserves it." I say as the rest of the people surrounding us are smiling and nodding at me in response. I smile back as I feel more eyes on me than before I glance and see Dominic smirking at me with adoration in his eyes making me feel like I'm doing something right and Mike behind him looking shocked at my statement. I smile at him as he nods at me. "Thank you Ashleigh you're too kind. Thank you for believing in me before I even start. That's a confidence booster for sure."

I smile and nod as Dominic pulls on my hand leading me into the kitchen I say behind me to all the people so I don't come off as rude at all.."Sorry, please excuse me we have both been so busy this morning.. also last night.. and I'm starving!" Dominic laughs wiggling his eyebrows at my statement making me blush.

"Yes, I bet you have! Do you think you made those twins yet?" Stefanie yells from across the room as Wesley, Nate, and Lucas laugh at her comment, causing me to blush more.

"Nope, I think I will need to occupy her tonight too.. only because of our Duty of course. I am a professional who always puts Duty first." Dominic says making us all burst out laughing as he joins in a little later after trying to hold in his laugh.

Dominic's POV

I pull out the chair right beside Stefanie so Ashleigh can sit down by her. I sit down on Ashleigh's open side. Food is brought out being perfect timing for both of us, as we both dig in... As much as I didn't want to stop the fun s*x we were having all morning long, I was starting to run on empty.

Ashleigh eats just as much as I do as I notice everyone is watching us with smirks on their faces.

I glance over at Ashleigh as she has some food on her face... She notices everyone staring as she shrugs and declares, "What? I have had an amazing morning and need all the fuel I can get to continue through tonight! I have twins to create!"

This makes me smile and purr saying, "Yes we do!" She laughs elbowing me lightly as she continues to eat.

I look up and lock gazes with Lucas, "So Lucas are you going to reconsider coming with me to my pack? I understand if you want to stay.. but I would appreciate the help from one of the most fierce warriors, to protect my twin goddess pups??" I ask this as I continue eating.

He looks like he is thinking about it when we hear from behind us, "Lucas you have been nothing but loyal to our small pack but I truly believe you're meant for more than just the lead warrior here in this small pack... you could help the moon goddess' granddaughter and help all packs if you go with them... I think you should take his offer." Mike says this to him surprising us all.

Lucas looks shocked as he asks, "Are you sure Alpha Mike? I would never want to abandon you or my pack." Mike starts to nod his head without hesitation as he retorts. "You would be of better use with them..at least we would know Ashleigh and her babies will be safe if you are around and that makes me feel better about all this.. and I know all the small packs can benefit from your training sessions, I know we have. Take this not just for me but for yourself, you have worked so hard for an opportunity like this, so relish in this acceptance of the next step in your career. You deserve it."

I smile and nod at Mike as he nods back. I look at Lucas who looks like he is in complete shock as he responds. "Well, I guess how can I say no to that explanation? Alright, Alpha Dominic when do I start?"

This comment makes me smile so big along with everyone else at the table. I stand up extending my hand to him. He stands taking my hand instantly as I say, "Lucas, As your new Alpha it would be my pleasure for you to start tomorrow morning after I'm done making the new heirs to the Cresent Moon Pack.." I say pausing and smirking down at Ashleigh making her blush as everyone softly chuckles so I continue, "I would be honored if you would be my mate and children's bodyguard and advisor at my side. You would be a great addition to my pack. I have never done this before but I would be honored if you would be my Delta in line."

He goes down to one knee in front of me as he says, "It would be my honor Alpha and Goddess Luna to be your Delta, and help protect the future of the pure werewolves." I smile at this as Ashleigh smirks up at me in complete approval.

"Thank you for accepting Lucas, you may stand. And Mike thank you, I know that was probably hard for you to do but I know Ashleigh and I both appreciate that. We will always extend a hand to help you and your pack for your multiple acts of kindness to me and my own. These acts will never be forgotten." I bow slightly to him as he matches my bow. "It's something I needed to do for the torment I have put Ashleigh through for years... She is family now and didn't deserve any of that and I will do everything in my power to make up for it.. especially helping her and her mate in any way I can." He says smiling at Ashleigh as she smiles back responding, "Don't feel like you owe me anything Mike, but I do appreciate the help you have extended to me and it won't be forgotten. Thank you."

I love how good she is with everyone. She seems so graceful and elegant in everything she does even when she is not meaning to and it shocks me almost every time.

She looks up at me with those stunning purple eyes as she smirks and winks at me breaking our gaze to continue eating. I can't help but just stare at her for a moment taking in those gorgeous features. It's Almost calming just to be in her presence.

"Well get some food in your systems after your long morning and I will see you all tonight. I have to go prepare, see you soon." Mike says slightly bowing before he heads out of the dining room.

"See told you, that you would turn into a s*x fiend after you got your werewolf dick." Stefanie thinks she whispered to Ashleigh but we can all hear it as everyone stares at me. I burst out laughing in approval of her comment because she has and I guess she called it.

Ashleigh's mouth drops open in shock that everyone heard that comment making her blush to the darkest shade of red I have ever probably seen on her. The ringing of our laugh ech in the room as we finish eating our much-needed food for nourishment.
