Chapter 15 More Questions

Dominic's POV

I ran out the door, enjoying the last little bit of arousal I smelled. I had to leave before I couldn't control myself around her, but I loved the look on her face before I shifted, that was sexy. I meant it when I said I can't wait until I get to mark her and become one as we are meant to be. But I will never force her like her first time. I will never break her heart like that, so I will wait as long as she wants before we take that next step.

I'm just so happy she is ok with me being a werewolf and has still agreed to come with me. I just need to take care of the madness here so I can get her home and safe. I run so quickly across the land, through the trees and bushes, taking in the calming scents as I brush past them weaving in and out. I love running in the woods. It's always a spectacular feeling, at least for Miles and me. That is until I come back to the murder scene from before.

I sniff around, making sure to keep my guard up at this point because you never know. I do see my phone on the ground, so I pick it up and I see another phone, so I grab that in my mouth as well... Maybe we can get something off of it.

I keep sniffing around the open area when I come across a stash spot for clothes. Every pack does this, leaving clothes all around just in case you have to shift and don't have clothes with you. It's for any werewolf that needs it, so I shift back to my human form, grabbing the shorts and slipping them on. I put the phones that I found in my pocket, still taking a look around.

I check each dead body that is still in human form to see if they have anything on them that might help us figure out who is behind this, or at least confirm since we think we have an idea. The problem is that, because she is a Luna, we cannot say anything.. especially to the wrong people just in case we are wrong, because it will surely cause problems for both packs, so we need to tread lightly until we get actual evidence.

I don't see anything else on them at all, so I start to walk back toward the apartment. I hear muffled talking from afar gaining my attention... It's late, so this might be the kind of conversation to listen in on because this is when the Luna has talked with whoever it was before.

I sneak around slowly, trying to figure out where the talking is coming from. I finally stumble upon a man and.. yup, the Luna, as suspected.. but I don't smell rogues around, so not the same person as before... I get close enough to hear what they are saying.

"Hey! I paid for her years ago. There is no way I'm just letting you give her away. She is mine!" The guy sounds livid, yelling at the Luna.. I can smell they are both wolves as well. So maybe a guy from the pack, since he is obviously not a rogue.

"It's not my fault that you got locked up, because you couldn't wait as we had agreed in the contract. You're just lucky the parents didn't revoke the contract because they didn't have any other options.. but fine! I don't care... take what's yours then, just as long as she is gone... She is getting us more and more attention and it will ruin everything! I need the loose ends tied.. like yesterday!" The Luna yells this back as she pokes him in the chest and only inches from his face.. sounding so stressed at this point like she is just at her wit's end.

"But she has a couple of extra loose ends herself. What do I do about them?" the guy asks her for some type of advice.

"I don't care what you do with them, just as long as they are gone, she is starting to get some old deals opened back up and we can't have that. We have people sniffing around and getting into stuff we don't want them to. We need her gone, so get her the f*#k out of here before I have to try to take care of her myself again.. she already got away once, and mark my words she won't get away again. Especially if you don't take care of it properly and I have to send a second group after her. But.. I'll take care of him if I have to and you got the rest, just take care of it quickly." The Luna says, turning around and storming off.

The guy throws his arms in the air and huffs, it looks like he is confused about what to do at this point. He groans then walks off into town. I wonder who that was about and what deals... I wonder if she is running some kind of illegal business, but either way, I need to talk to my father. I grab my phone and call my father. I know it's late at this point, but it's urgent.

The phone rings once, then twice, as the call is picked up and a groggy mumbling is all I can here. "Father I'm sorry to bother you, but I have to speak with you... now. it's urgent.." I say as I hear him getting up out of bed. "Yes, son of course what's going on? Is Ashleigh OK? What about Aurora?" That makes me smile that my girls are his first concern.

"Ok so we spent an amazing day together, but on our walk around town, enjoying the weather, I was hanging out with Aurora. The Luna walked up to Ashleigh, telling her it was a nice day for a walk.. but she had better be careful because you never know what's out there. Then sarcastically said, oh it doesn't matter because you have Dominic with you.. which was weird, but Ashleigh didn't think much of that comment... We later were walking back to her apartment after dinner. I had to stop and tie my shoe, but then I smelt them, rogues... When I got caught back up to them, the girls were surrounded by a group of rogues... I, of course, jumped in the front and tried to talk to them to leave the girls alone, but he quickly figured out who I was and laughed at me saying he wasn't letting any of us go because we are his two jobs in one spot. He laughed at me when I said they were trespassing as well, which makes me think they were let onto pack territory, especially if he was getting paid for this, with it being a 'job' for him. I was forced to shift in front of the girls, killing the rogues, but luckily the girls are not even remotely scared of me or Miles. Ashleigh was mad at me for even thinking she would be scared of Miles. Even Aurora said I saved them like the Beast in beauty and the beast. She has started calling me Daddy too and I adore it honestly. But Ashleigh and I had to have a talk about me and what I want from her.. I told her I want her with me and she thinks I am stuck with her, so I told her about how I could reject her but that I don't want to. She even tried to get me to reject her because she thinks she would be a weak link for our pack and she would rather herself be unhappy, instead of hurting me or the pack. I told her no way, that I love her and I'm not rejecting her and she agreed right after my declaration of love, to come with me officially after finding out about me. I went back to the murder scene of rogues and found my phone and a rogue's phone so maybe we can check it out to get information off of it. But on my way back, I just saw the Luna talking with a man and she said she has to get rid of some girl because she is causing too much attention to be drawn to them and that she needs her gone and her loose ends tied before someone finds out about their deals. It sounds to me like some illegal business, but I might have to find out who the girl is to figure that out. But I'm now on my way back to the girl's apartment because I'm not leaving them alone tonight." I say, informing him about everything as he responds.

"Ok I would say bring the girls here, but you know that's not the safest for them right now until they get brought in by you. But I would watch them and make sure they have guards just in case you can't be there with them. But it does sound like illegal business deals and she is afraid of getting caught... But you know how people get in times of desperation. They will make drastic decisions in haste, which might make mistakes that we can benefit from... Just please be careful and take care of those girls. I'm very happy she has decided to stay with you because she is already acting like a Luna, putting the pack first over her happiness. So we need her here with us. She will be a great Luna. Just please be careful and get this taken care of so you can bring those girls home to a safe place."

I nod at his comment and say, "Yes sir, I will thank you." I hang up and call Nate.

"Hey man, it's nice to see you got your phone back. I almost left to come that way, but I figured I would wait just a little bit longer." Nate says to me as I respond instantly, " Yea I got hung up here for a second... I found my phone and found another, so I will need Wes to do his thing and try to get into it to see if there is any information we can use... Also, on my way back, I saw the Luna talking with some man and they were talking about how they have to get rid of some girl because she is bringing them too much-unwanted attention that's going to ruin some deals. The Luna was so mad about this particular girl, that she said if the guy doesn't take her away and tie up her loose ends, she will take care of the girl herself. I don't know what deals, but it sounds illegal with the tone of desperation in her voice. But I'm on my way back to the apartment now. We will have to take care of some of this tomorrow, so I need a guard with the girls to make sure they are safe tomorrow morning."

"Yes Alpha call me tomorrow and I'll send one of the guards there so the three of us can take care of things here as quickly as possible," Nate responds without hesitation. I love that he and I are always on the same wavelength with how we think and feel. It's nice for sure.

"Thanks, man, talk to you in a little bit." I hang up the call as I get to the apartment and knock on the door, but no one answers. I look into the window as much as I can, but I don't see Ashleigh. I knock again and nothing so I go to her window, which I have seen her climb out of. I opened it slowly and take a look at the room. Stefanie and Aurora are passed out in bed but still no Ashleigh. I slowly and as quietly as possible crawl through the window, shutting the window behind me and creeping through the room, leaving it as quietly as possible.

I shut the door behind me as I crept through the house, I can smell shampoo and body wash in the air. Maybe that's why she didn't answer. She might have been in the shower. I still creep through the house as I get to the front room, to see her with her back to me with a phone to her head as she undoes her towel. She puts the towel on her wet head of hair exposing her curvy, light olive-colored body.

I'm completely in awe until I hear her say, "Hey I'm sorry I know it's late... um.. yes that's me... oh ok, I was just getting worried since I had not seen him yet.. ok.." She bends over slipping on a thong and it is taking every last bit of me to not take her right now.
