Chapter 20 Getting Her Back

Ashleigh's POV

Stefanie and I borrow a car from my actual father's pack, as we drive away from the pack house and out of town to get my baby back.

"Hey, Phoenix how are you doing? You have had a rough day and I just want to make sure you're ok." Stefanie says driving down the road, not looking away from the road, except for now and then glancing over at me since I'm right next to her.

"I don't know how to feel... I found out I have some actual family which is nice to know... It was nice to hear a little bit about my mom, which makes me feel a little better. I'm also happy that my father came with us to speak on our behalf if needed. Even though we didn't even need his explanation, after all, it was just nice that he went there to help just in case. I'm still not ok with him and I will never be, but I'm happy he stepped up and did something for me when he hasn't before. But I can't feel ok at all no matter what because I don't have my baby. Here I am about ready to go back to the place I promised myself I would never return to. It's freaking me out honestly. He did horrible things to me in there and I don't want to relive any of that. With us in this car, inching closer by the second is bringing back those awful memories tenfold." I say as I take a deep breath in while running my hands through my hair.

"It will be ok, you have Dom and he will save you.. he will do everything in his power to make sure you're ok. You can tell how much he loves you and it's so sweet." Stefanie says to me trying to reassure me as she smiles glancing over at me, then back at the road. I nod smiling back at her because I hope she is right. I want to change the mood, even if it's just for a second to take my mind off of things.

"So Stef, you must be excited! You finally got your werewolf d**k you were wishing for... What are the odds that Dominic's best friend is your mate?" I say throwing my hands in the air because it is shocking. I really would like to know what the odds are of that... But this makes me even more excited at a new revelation.

"Oooo and you know what that means. You get to come with us to the new pack territory, so we never have to leave each other! That is if we get out of this alive." I say that last part a little sadly but she has a small smile on as she retorts, "Of course, we will make it out! You're the perfect example of what to do. You're the Phoenix and when things got hard.. what do we do? We come back better and stronger, now let's go kick some ass and get our baby girl back so we can get some werewolf d**k!" I bust up laughing at her as I stare at her in shock.

"What? I have to see if it's bigger or not. I haven't got any s*x in a while too I need this! Don't you judge me!" She says playfully making me laugh as she slows down and turns to go down the driveway. Once the car is completely turned onto the end of the driveway, she stops right at the top.. putting it into the park.

I turn to her, quickly hugging her as I suck in a sharp breath out of the overwhelming nervousness. I don't know if I can do this.. but I have to.. for Aurora. She rubs my back for a moment as she says in my ear, "You got this, go get your baby girl back, be the amazing momma we know you are." She says as she lets me go. I stare at her for a second before reluctantly nodding.

I get out of the car slowly, shutting the car door behind me, I slowly start to make my way back to my living hell. The old cabin doesn't look like anyone has cared for it at all the whole time he has been locked up. It's an old wooden cabin that has bark peeling from the outside, making it look so weathered. There are no other houses close by at all, just a river behind it and woods hiding it all around.

This place would be a very nice pleasant place if I wasn't taken here for the worst moments of my life. I start to creep closer and closer to the cabin as my feet feel heavier and heavier the closer I get.

Once I'm about 5 feet away from the cabin I stop freezing in my steps. I have to take another deep breath, just trying to collect some confidence at this moment before I take another step closer.. slowly I walk up each step of the front stairs even slower than before.

I lift my hand to knock on the door and I can't get myself to do it right away.. my heart is racing and to say I'm terrified is once again a complete utter understatement.

Dominic's POV

All 4 of us; Lucas, Nate, Wes, and I, strip down shifting into our wolves as we take off towards the outside of town. Lucas leads the way because he has been out that way before, so he knows where we are headed to. When we are getting close we stop and split up into groups of two so Nate and Wes go to the right and Lucas and I go to the left.

This area would be amazing with the huge river close by, sounding so relaxing with plenty of fish to catch if needed. The property is covered in trees and bushes all over, making it feel way more alone than you would think. The trees framing the property look stunning I just wish we weren't here in this beautiful area on these awful terms. We get set up on the left side of the cabin, about 20 to 30 or so feet away.. so we can keep an eye out but not be seen, for the sneak attack.

Alpha we are set up on the right side and ready to go whenever the Luna gets here.

Wes says to me, which is relieving that we are ready to go.

Good, now remember, nothing happens to Aurora. We need to get her out of here safe and sound, then we will end this... I don't care if we have to kill him, just as long as we stop this torture for my girls. I would honestly love to torture him myself for what he has done to them, but getting rid of him once and for all isn't a bad ending for this either.

I respond to them as they retort in unison, Yes Alpha.

I crouched down, hiding behind a big bush and surrounding trees. I'm taking a look around the property to see if there are any obvious weaknesses in this place. The outside of the house looks like it's coming apart from the weather and old age... I can't see anything in the windows because they are all blocked by blinds. I keep looking around as I see the blinds moving, with the assh*le peaking out looking around, then closing the blinds again.

I don't think this guy is stupid. I'm pretty sure he will expect at least me to show up since I did already when he tried to take her, so I'm sure he will have a trick up his sleeve. But what matters... is not the fact that he has a trick up his sleeve, but how good of a trick it is.

I see the car pulling into the driveway and stopping at the front. It takes a second before I can see Ashleigh getting out of the car. She looks terrified walking down the path towards the house. The closer she gets, the slower she moves. I'm so sad she even has to be brought back to this place. How scary is it to have to willingly come back to the place of your worst nightmares, making this all come true once again. She finally gets to the steps as she slowly makes her way up to the door. I notice her hand goes up and she pauses for a second before she knocks with the front door opening as I signal the wolves.

Now go!

I nod at Lucas since he doesn't have mind link with us because of being from a different pack than us.

We run very quickly, weaving in and out of the trees and bushes as I hear a yelp from afar.

Traps Alpha! There are bear traps out here. I'm stuck in one!

Wes yells at me as I feel my heart racing watching the ground, trying to make sure I don't get caught in any traps as well.

Hold tight Wes and try to hide so he can't get to you and I will make sure to come back and get you!

I say quickly to him because he knows we can't stop this attack now because this is our chance for the opening.

Ashleigh's POV

My hand is lifted in the air as I finally get the courage to knock on the door. I hear steps coming close to the door as it whips open. It's Dan and he is looking around as if he knows we are planning something.

"Who is that?! I told you not to bring anyone with you!" he yells in my face, pointing up at the still-running car. I put my hands up in surrender saying, "It's just Stefanie waiting to take Aurora away for me because I couldn't just let her wander out here alone, you know this is no place for a child who's by herself." I say stating the obvious as he hums in response.

We stand there for a moment as we hear yelping in the background somewhere.. it sounds off to the right.

Dan smirks at me with a mischievous grin plastered on his face as he grabs me by the shirt and pulls me into the cabin quickly making me stumble in but he is still holding me up on my feet.

"Wait wait! You have to let my baby go! Please you promised!" I beg him as he laughs and says. "What? Do you really think I would actually do that?" I feel my jaw clenching just knowing he is conniving but also knowing how much he cares about what I think of him, so I'll play it to my advantage and hopefully manipulate him into letting her out.

"Well, I always believed you were a man of your word, but if you're not, then I'll make you a deal.. you can have me and I won't fight you as much at all if you let her go now. If you don't let her go, I will fight all the time, every single day until my last, however many times you try to do anything with me, I will fight you." I swallow as he walks to me quickly, he is now only inches away from my face and he responds, "Fine deal, let her out now. I only wanted her to help get you here to me anyways. Now hurry it up before I change my mind because I am a man of my word and like that deal." He doesn't move a muscle so I'm forced to squeeze past him, looking around the room as I finally see her in the corner tied up with her mouth taped shut.

I run up to her, undoing the tape over her mouth as she cries and says, "Mommy I knew you would come for me." I smile down at her and say, "Of course baby, you're my everything.. now I need you to be a big kid for me ok?" I ask her as she nods.

"Auntie Stefanie is in the car down the path. I need you to walk to her and she will get you out of these ropes that are around your hands ok?" She nods again at me as I pick her up and carry her to the door. I set her down on her feet as I give her kisses all over her face causing her to smile luckily for me to see... making me feel a wave of relief knowing she will be out of there.

I open the door as I say, "I love you, baby. Now get to Auntie Stef for me."

"Are you coming mama?" she asks as she walks back towards the car staring at me. "Um.. sure.. yea baby I'll be by later.. just go with Auntie Stefanie and I'll be by.. sometime. Be good for her, please. I love you, baby." I say to her trying to lie, but I have never been good at lying.

"Man, that was an awful lie. I thought you might get better at lies over the years, but I guess not." He says in my ear as I watch my girl finally get to the car. I see Stef get out of the car and pick her up, getting her in the car before she gets back into the driver's seat and backs up the car slowly. As she drives away and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in.

"Well now that it's just the two of us, how do you want to spend the night? Because I have some ideas, some are sexy for me and some are fun for me... Which would you prefer?" He says in my ear as he shuts the door in front of me, closing off the outside relieving paradise from my sight.

I don't answer him, I just stand there not caring anymore, everything he could do to me is my nightmare come true once again plus I know my opinion on this subject doesn't matter at all. This is all just a little game to him. But as long as he doesn't have Aurora anymore, that is all that matters to me at this point.

"Oh ok, you're going to play the silent treatment? Ok then fun it is and I'll see if I can get a sound to come out of you my stubborn little vixen." He says this to me as he grabs my wrist pulling me behind him. He grabs duct tape and tapes my wrists together in front of me. He then goes to my feet trying to tape up my ankles together. I move my feet around not letting him have an easy time taping me up.

He looks up at me glaring as he slaps me across the face as I grunt from the impact.

"Come on Ashy you told me you wouldn't fight me because I let your baby girl go." He says to me as I spat back, "I told you I wouldn't fight you as much. I didn't say I wouldn't fight you at all. I'm not going to make this easy on you Dan."

He looks up at me as his eyebrows raise. "Oooh, I like this new Ash attitude this will make things so much more fun for our little game. Also, I love the way you say my name. Just know I'm going to have you screaming it by the end of today."

He says this as he finishes taping up my ankles together. He picks up my body throwing it over his shoulder and carrying me across the room.

"Put me down!" I wiggle and try to move out of his hold, but my arms and legs are restrained so there is not much I can do but wiggle... I didn't expect this when I placed these extra weapons on my person. How am I supposed to get to them now?

He throws me down on the ground so hard as I groan in pain rolling on the floor. "What Ash? I just gave you exactly what you were asking for. Wait... What's this?" He reaches down grabbing one of my weapons I was trying to store on me but not anymore apparently. He laughs at me as he chucks it to the side, but I can't see where, with how he has thrown me.

He grabs a chain, wrapping it around my wrists and in between the duct tape securing it as he lifts me. He takes the chain, hooking it onto a huge metal hook, so I'm being held up by the metal hook and chains. I look like a plant you would hang from the ceiling. My toes barely touch the ground as I stretch out, trying to keep myself from spinning around.

"Oh Ashy Ashy Ashy you have been a bad girl.. do you know how much trouble you got me into because you couldn't keep your pretty little mouth shut." He says grabbing my face tight in his grip as I spit in his face without hesitation.

He slaps me across the face with so much force that I spun around. He comes up to my face saying with so much malice, "Oh Ash If I were you I would keep the fighting to a minimum so you don't make things worse on yourself until your wolf mate can get here to try to help you... that's right, I know you guys were planning something because I'm not stupid.. so I'm just going to have as much fun as I can until he gets here and I have to deal with him too. Now to learn your lesson for fighting back, I want you to make sure to scream very loud for him. I want him to know what I'm doing to you and to feel awful about sending you back here."

I see him undo his belt as my eyes go wide and he lets out the most malicious laugh I have ever heard in my life, it echoes throughout the whole house. I swallow the lump in my throat as I close my eyes and bite my lip. I can't scream as he wants. I can't and I won't give him what he wants. He snaps the belt beside me scaring me as I jump and he laughs more at my dismay. He slaps me with the belt next as I bite my lip. He circles me and hits me again. I feel a tear running down, but I'm still not giving in and screaming. He hits me again and I'm still silent.

He laughs again at me as he says, "Fine Ash have it your way." He takes my shirt rips it off and throws the shredded pieces to the floor. He slaps me with the belt to my bare skin as I cringe again in pain. He slaps again as I squeal, trying to hold back the yell. He slaps me again and again as I barely scream, but tears are running down my face like Niagara falls.

"Ooh.. ok you think you're tough.. we will have to step it up a notch huh? Since you won't scream this way to put your mate through pain, maybe I can get you to scream for your man another way." He pulls me off of the hook and carries me to the kitchen island, as he throws me onto the countertop, knocking the wind out of me... I heave for air as I can feel him hooking my chains to the cabinet... Being chained this way makes it so I'm bent over and can't move from that position.

"Welp I guess it's the perfect time to see how much you missed me huh?" he says into my ear leaning on me from behind. As I struggle more trying to get out.

I hear him stripping down as I struggle more. He starts to undo my pants as I wiggle more in hopes he won't be able to undo them. But to my dismay, he does and pulls them down. No No No this can't be happening, not again, please no not again.
