 This went on another five times before Alarick’s body finally landed on the ground for the last time, and he went limp. His body seemed to be lifeless but the slight movement of his chest told me that he was still breathing, yet barely. I waited, cautiously, to see whether he would get up again or stay down and when nothing further happened, I ran to him. Estra and Sacrion were shouting at me to stop but I wasn’t listening.
