Dark Secret 1: Her Name is Secret

Chapter 5

Sir A congratulated her by completing her side mission and of course that's expected since killing Amasawa is just a piece of cake for Secret.

Umalis si Eren na may dala-dalang bagong bake na pizza at juice saka nagtungo sa mini living room nila. Inilapag niya ang kanyang dala sa lamesita at umupo sa tabi ni Maxeene na nanonood ng TV. She doesn't know what show Max is currently watching right now but base on the current scene, it was romance. Her brows knitted in a frown as she saw the characters having a kissing scene. She slightly tilted her head on Max side and she saw her glimmering eyes watching the 'heart pounding' scene.

Napatili si Max at saka napahampas kay Eren dahil sa kilig. Ngunit imbes na kilig ang maramdaman niya ay sakit. Nagusot ang mukha ni Secret habang impit na umungol dahil nahampas ni Maxeene ang lugar kung saan siya may pasa. She got it after fighting a fierce hand to hand combat with the bastard that she killed earlier.

Fuck! She cussed.

Naputol ang pinapanood nila dahil sa lumabas na breaking news. Which made Maxeene groaned in annoyance.

Beaking News:

A m******e occurred inside the private mansion owned by a Japanese businessman. He was identified by the authorities as Amasawa Kei. The three guards who were found unconscious are now on custody. There are traces of small-scale bomb that was thrown inside the mansion. They said that the killer was equipped with a 5.56×45mm assault rifle and a 9mm pistol which is used to kill the business man.

Bigla namang napahawak ng mahigpit si Maxeene sa braso niya habang. "Oh my god! That's terrible. Who on earth did that." Max gasped in a shocked and scared voice.

Napangiwi naman si Secret dahil dito. Max that hurts! Sigaw niya sa isip niya. She just dressed her wound earlier at pakiramdam niya muli itong dumugo. Max has a tight and strong grip compared to her stature.

"I felt bad. The one who did the deed is a monster."

Yeah, a monster. That damn man you're pitying is a drug dealer b***h! He's tangled in a lot of sketchy business. Wika ni Secret sa kanyang isipan.

"Eh? W-what if h-he angered someone. T-That's why he g-got killed?" Tanong ni Eren. "H-He might've done s-something bad?"

"Well if you put it that way then I think its fine." Wika ni Max. "I still can't believe it. Mr. Amasawa is one of my cousin's investor. I met him once and he's very polite and kind."

Secret secretly scoffed. Don't make me laugh. He's polite and kind? Hahaha.

It's hard to judge someone's appearance. People painted themselves as saint while masking their true form, ugly and hideous full of evil deeds.

"That's t-terrible."

"Yeah. I dunno what's happening in this world." Nakasimangot na wika ni Maxeene. "Some of the business man is getting killed and most of them are big shots. Ewan ko ba siguro may organisasyong tumatarget sa kanila."

"Huh? P-pano ma nasabi?"

"You see, the news might be blocked for the common people but they can't hind this informations around the high society..." Max said and paused. "...all the victims that died were part of sketchy deals. It's always brought to light after they died."

"It might b-be their rivals d-doing. O-or someone is t-trying to defame or f-frame them?" Eren said.

"You got a point there." Sagot ni Max. "They also said that all the victims died with asingle shot of gun, and every bullet that they retrieved from the victims' bodies was laced by Antihemorrhagic specificly Stypic substance that works by contracting tissue to seal injured blood vessels."

"I shouldn't be saying this but the killer is really cool. I keep wondering though, why he/she is doing this. What she/he looks like and some trivial stuffs about her identity." Max said and laughed.

"When I was a kid, I dreamed on becoming an assassin like the guys on video games or movies. I still admire them till now but it makes me wonder whether they're evil or good."

Cool huh? Well I guess we are cool. Are we good or are we evil? I don't know. But to my opinions we're both. We're doing bad things and choose to walk the path of danger, lies and secrets just to let everyone in the path of light where peace and order exist.

It's not easy to become like us. We're nothing compared to how they portrayed us in video games and movies. Our life is always near the claws of death. One mistake and we're done for. No turning back.

After hanging out with Maxeene, Secret went inside her room and contacted Zero to ask for assistance and informations about the victims' connections. She needed this case to move.

"Hey Secret! What can I do for you?" Zero asked her on the other line.

"Can you give me some names that are connected to the victims? And please include their backgrounds. Thank you."

"Sure, I'll send it later to your email. Ciao." Zero said and ended the call

Nahiga siya sa kama sa kanyang habang nakatingin sa kisame. She's thinking about the reason on how did they managed to abduct the students. The security of the Luxeford academy isn't lacking. So does it mean that there's someone on the inside assisting the abductor from the outside? If her line of thinking is correct then she also needs to investigate the staffs.

Also why is Secret starting have a bad feeling about this case. It feels like she's missing a certain piece. Then a sudden thought pooped in her mind.

Is the Shadows connected with this?

Nah, it can't be. That organization is gone and there's no way that'll happen. AAO uprooted their organization fifteen years ago but if her boss is right that they managed to rebuild it again Secret can't believe that they'll be able to extend their reach here at the academy.

Secret brushed her thoughts and decided to just concentrate on the informations that on her hand right now.

Tumonog ang kanyang phone at nag pop out ang name ni Zero. She opened the message and read the contents.

Kinuha niya ang kanyang laptop at binuksan niya iyon saka sinunod ang sinabi ni Zero at tinignan ang kanyang email. Zero is pretty good in hacking and finding something. No wonder he only takes twenty minutes to send it.

Maxeene Maurer, a 4th year chemistry student in Luxeford academy. 20 years old, half American and half Filipino. Friend of Maisee Rhodes since highschool.

She usually stayed at her dorm, in the cafeteria or in the library. She wants cupcakes and sweets.

August Walker, a 4th year business student in Luxeford Academy. 21 years old, British. He is the Heir of the Walker's Corporation that operates mainly in Hospitality Industry. He's Nathan Velasquez closest friend and also they stayed in the same dorm.

He usually stayed in his dorm and in the academy's garden. He hates noisy people. He likes to watch action movies and loves to play xbox and joining a car racing or motor cross every Saturday or Sunday and sometimes he's with Nathan.

She smirked when she read about August Walker. Hmm, so that arrogant homosapiens is into daredevil sports huh?

David Johnsons, a 4th year chemistry student in Luxeford. 21 years old, half Canadian and half Filipino. He's a classmate of Marko Frias and Maxeene Maurer. He's also Marko's dorm mate.

He usually stay at the library and sometimes in the cafeteria. He loves to read about classic books like 'The Prince' by Niccolo Machiavelli.

So he's her classmate. I think mapapadali ang pagtatanong ko about kay Marko Frias at mahihirapan naman akong makalapit kay August.

She smirked with the idea that suddenly popped out in her head. She'll go to the racing track this coming Sunday. Maybe that's one way of getting closer to August para makakuha ng information sa pagkawala ni Nathan.
