Chapter 6: David Johnsons

Naglalakad sila ngayon ni Maxeene papunta sa library para sa research nila. When they arrived at the library Eren roamed her eyes around to look for David Johnsons.

She smirked when she saw him at the left side of the library at saktong na sa chemistry section ang lalaki. Nagpaalam siya kay Maxeene na kukuha ng libro at tumango naman ito. She walked towards him and she stood at his side.

She looked for some books na kakailanganin nila sa kanilang research. Eren browsed the shelves get three thick books and hugged those. She saw another book at the higher part of the shelf so she tiptoed to reach it but unfortunately she lost her balance. Napaupo siya sa sahig at nahulog ang mga librong hawak niya and because of that David turn his gaze on her. Thankfully he helped her to pick the books and then he offered his hand para tulungan siyang tumayo.

"Are you okay?" He asked with concern.

"O-Oo, S-Salamat!" Eren said then he nodded and smiled.

"You look familiar."

"A-Ahm, classmate mo k-ko sa Analytical & Inorganic C-Chemistry pati na rin s-sa Thesis." I said.

"Oh, I see. By the way, I'm David Johnsons." He said then he offered his hand for a handshake.

"E-Eren Baeyens!" I took his hand and I smiled shyly. "I a-apologize for t-talking like this. I-I have a speech d-disorder I h-hope you don't m-mind." Eren continued with her voice filled with anxiety as she looked at him.

David smiled at him reassuringly. "It's alright. I don't mind at all."

"Saan pala ang table mo? I'll walk you in there."

"I d-don't know. Si Maxeene k-kasi ang naghanap n-ng pwesto eh."

"Oh, Maxeene Maurer?" He asked at tumango naman siya.

"Y-yes, she's my d-dorm mate and classmate. S-siya rin ang una k-kong nakilala rito s-sa L.A."

"She's also my friend. Let's go. Hanapin natin siya." ani nito saka sila naglakad upang hanapin ang dalaga.

Got yah! Now all i need to do is to be close to him so that I can dig more info's from him. Secret murmured and grinned.

"Hi Max!" ani nito at ngumiti David ng makarating kami sa kinaroroonan nito.

I mentally laughed when I saw Maxeene blushed when David approached her. Hmm! I smell something fishy.

"T-thank you David." Wika ni Eren ng mailapag niya ang dala nitong libro.

"No problem. Can I join you guys?" Tanong nito.

"Y-Yeah!" utal na sagot ni Max.

"Sure." I said.

"So anong topic niyo sa thesis?" He asked.

"Uh, wala pa eh." ani Max sabay kamot sa batok.

"Tsk! We're same. It's kinda difficult because this f*****g thesis is individual." David said and frowned.

It's been an hour since they talk about their thesis at ngayon nag kwekwentohan na lang sila ng kung anu-ano.

Then their topic turned about night life, Maxeene suddenly got curious about Eren's whereabouts last week. And she thought that Max is talking about the night when she killed Amasawa.

"Saan ka pala nagpunta last friday night? I didn't saw you at all."

"Uh, I-I was outside t-the academy to v-visit my d-doctor. I-I also went to my b-benefactor's h-home to report my a-activities here. I-t was too late to g-go back here t-that's why the madam t-told me to stay their f-for the night." Eren explained. "I-I forgot to inform y-you. Sorry M-max."

She said with apologetic voice.

"Oh, It' alright. I was just worried. Next time don't forget to inform me okay?" She said. "And remember to take care Eren."

"Yeah. Max is right. If possible mga 6 or 5 pm nasa loob na tayo ng dorm. Even in daylight don't let your guards down." David said.

"B-Bakit? Tinatakot n-niyo naman a-ako eh."

"Kailangan nating mag-ingat Eren, It's for our safety cause lately there are three students who was reported missing and the two of them is our friend." He said and his face suddenly saddened.

"W-who? Well I k-know about M-maxeene's friend she t-told me about that."

"It's Marco. He's my closest friend. Classmate din namin siya ni Max. I noticed that he became so busy. Well I do understand that he's busy because of school works pero it's odd kasi hindi na siya pumupunta sa mga social gatherings dito sa academy. Marco always make a time for partying and gatherings kahit gaano siya kabusy."

"I asked him what's with his sudden change. Then he told me that he failed the laboratory exam and he told me that he absolutely needs to catch up with his grades. Sometimes napapansin ko ring gabi na ito umuuwi at sabi niya nag i-stay daw siya sa lab at sa library na hindi naman niya madalas gawin noon."

"Bagsak rin siya? I also heard that Maisee failed her laboratory exam." Maxeene said at napa-isip naman ako sa sinabi nila.

"Anong l-lab yong nabagsak ni M-marco?" I asked.

"It's Inorganic Chemistry lab which is under sir Albert."

"H-how about M-aisee?"

"I don't know what's subject is that but I think it's Sir Albert or was it Sir Kent?" Max said with uncertainty. "Maisee always talked about Sir Moraya. Since she has a crush on him like sir Kent." ani Max na nakangiti at halatang may gusto rin ito kay Sir Albert.

So Maisee and Marco both failed in a laboratory class which under the same prof Sir Albert Moraya. Though it's still unclear if Maisee's proof is Sir Albert or that guy named Kent. As she thought she needed to investigate the staffs too.

But it is possible that sir Albert is responsible of this? Is he the guy that Maxeene saw? Does Sir Albert has a secret relationship with Maisee?

She needs to know more. Secret needs to know about Nathan Velasquez. But for now, tama na muna ang nalaman niyang information about kay Maisee and Marco.

I need to talk to August Walker immediately. But the problem is how will I do that? The guy is a jerk and I don't think that he will cooperate with me.

Matapos ang kwentohan nila napagdisesyonan nilang bumalik sa kanilang dorm. Hinatid naman sila ni David sa dorm and they invited him inside to have some snacks but he declined dahil may gagawain pa raw ito.

"You like David, don't you?" Eren told Max when they're in the kitchen while eating a sliced of a strawberry cake.

"N-No. I-I don't. Why do you say so?" tanggi nito.

"I s-saw you b-blushed!" Eren said teasing her.

"No. Namalikmata ka lang. I-I don't like him."

"The m-more you hide y-our feelings, the m-more they begin t-to show, and t-the more you deny y-our feelings, the more they begin t-to grow." I said and drink my apple juice and smirked.

"I hate you Eren!"
