Dark Secret 1: Her Name is Secret

Chapter 1: New Mission

"Good job Secret. You successfully completed your mission as always!" Nakangiting bati ni Zero. Isa sa mga kasamahan niya sa AAO.

Ang Assassin Agent Organization o AAO ay isang sekreto at pribadong oragnisasyon kung saan nabibilang ang mga ekstraodinaryong indibiwal na hinubog upang maging assassin o agent. The AAO is responsible for the deployment of the said individuals on the different parts of the world to help and solve the crisis that the government can't handle.

She's been part of the organization for almost eight years. Similar to the movie James Bond, all of them had a license to kill because in there line of work killing is necessary and unavoidable.

Secret is one of the youngest in their organization and there number is comparatively low compared to the government intelligence agencies.

"Thanks." Maikling sagot niya. "By the way Zero may next mission na ba ulit ako?"

Tanong niya sa binata ngunit nagkibit-balikat naman ito bago humarap sa computer niya.

Zero is a professional and a very skilled hacker. He can be treated as a genius and he started to hack the system of small companies when he was just thirteen years old. He got arrested when he was 21 years old and Sir A, scouted him instead which he accept.

"I don't know. But Sir A was asking you to go to her office as soon as you arrive here. Baka doon niya sasabihin kung may bagong mission nang nakalaan sayo."

"Okay, thanks." Secret answered before turning her back from him. Naglakad si Secret patungo sa opisina ng kanilang boss. It's not that far from Zero's kaya mabilis lang siyang nakarating sa tapat ng pintuan ng opisina ni Sir A.

Kumatok siya sa pintuan.

"Sir. This is Secret. Asking permission to Enter."

"Come in." Sir A answered and the door automatically opened.

The door immediately closed as soon as she stepped inside. Secret walked inside and stoped on halfway near Sir A's desk.

Their boss is already in 50's ngunit hindi halata ang edad nito dahil ang itsura nito ay nasa early 40's pa lamang.

"I want to congratulate you dahil natapos mo ulit ang mission mo. You successfully eliminate the Red Syndicate that performs human trafficking." Bati nito habang nakatingin ng diretso.

"Thank you Sir."

Sir A nodded saka muling nagsalita.

"Secret. I learned that the Red Syndicate is a part of the Shadows." He said with a grim voice. Nagdilim naman ang mukha ni Secret dahil sa nasabing impormasyon.

"Pero Sir A, Shadows are gone. That organization was exterminated twelve years ago. Are you saying that they manage to hide and rebuild it again?" Gulat na tanong niya.

"That's what the reports said. But I found a strange rumour a year ago and I decided to investigate it." Sir A said. "And I found out that Shadows manage to survive. It's still unknown who is the current leader and how did they manage to keep their tracks hidden from us."

"Sir. Is it possible that the previous leader who died was just a puppet and the real leader didn't die that day?"

Sir A sighed. "That's one of the many possibilities that's why I'm trying to re-investigate that incident this time."

"Now about your next mission." He said and paused. "You will enter the Luxeford academy disguising yourself as a student."

"Huh?" she uttered with a dumbfounded voice. "What? Why?"

"I need you to investigate in that place dahil sa mga pagkawala ng ilang estudyante roon."

Napataas ang kilay niya dahil sa tinuran ng kanyang boss.

This is absurd. Wika ni Secret sa kanyang sarili.

"Sir aren't they just a missing student? Isn't this to trivial for us to handle?" kwestyon niya. "The government can handle this task."

Sir A clicked his tongue before glaring at her. Suminagot naman siya dahil dito.

"Secret. This is not just a simple missing case." He retorted stressing the word 'missing case'. "They were abducted by accidentally making a dangerous substance." Madiing ika nito.

"Then why should I disguise myself a student and not as a professor?" tanong niya.

"Why you say?" ika nito habang nakataas ang kilay. "You doesn't look like a professor. You. Look. Stupid." He frankly said.

"That's too harsh for me to take Sir." Nakasimangot na sagot niya and she hear him say "cheh"

"So kailan po ako mag-sisimula?" She finally said with a resigned voice.

"Tomorrow. Rose will give your fake identity."

"Understood Sir." Ika niya.

"Alright. You may go now." Sagot nito. Secret bowed before leaving the office.

Naglakad siya patungo sa kinaroonan ni Rose upang kunin ang mga papeles na kailangan niya.

"So what's your new assignment?" tanong ni Zero nag makasalubong niya ito. May dala-dala itong in canned coffee na galling sa vending machine at tinapay.

"Investigate the Luxeford Academy and disguised as a student?" I said and rolled my eyes.

Zero laughed at her.

"Hey. Do you think that I look like stupid to be a professor?" Biglang tanong niya dahilan upang mapatigil si Zero sa pag-inom ng kanyang cold coffee.

"Huh?" taking tanong nito.

"Sir told me that I look stupid." Paliwanag niya. Zero broke into laughter upon hearing it.

"I don't know about that. All I know is you are eccentric. A crazy motherfucker." Sagot nito saka tumatawang umalis.

"Well. f**k you four eyes!" she retorted in a pissed voice.

Secret arrived on her place and plopped herself tiredly on her sofa. She groane as she started to massage her neck and her shoulders. Inabot niya ang kanyang phone mula sa bag niya na nakalapag sa carpet saka humiga.

"I forgot to buy food." Wika niya sa kanyang sarili. Alam niyang walang laman ang ref niya dahil ilang buwan din siyang hindi nakauwi dahil sa mga misyon niya. Mga dilate lang at instant noodles ang laman ng cupboard niya ngunit tinatamad siyang magluto kaya napagdesisyonan na lamang niyang magpa-deliver ng pagkaain.

She opened her phone and browse foods from the internet. After putting her order she stood up from the sofa and went to the bathroom to take a quick bath.

Hinubad niya ang kanyang damit at bumungad sa kanya ang mga pasa na nakuha niya sa kanyang huling misyon. May mga mangila-ngilang sugat din siya na hindi pa tuluyang gumaling.

After taking a bath and drying herself, Secret took an ointment and applied it gently on her bruise and one her nearly healed wounds.

She sighed and walked inside her room to change into a comfortable clothes. After changing she went back to her living room and waited for her food to arrive.

After fifteen minustes her door suddenly ranged. Mabilis niyang tinungo ang pintuan niya at binuksan iyon. The delivery guy handed her orders and left. Dinala naman ni Secret ang mga inorder niya sa kanyang small kitchen at inayos ang mga iyon. Inilagay niya sa plato ang inorder niyang chicken and pasta, a slice of pizza and a pudding. Inilagay niya sa ref ang ilang pagkain na inorder para may agahan siya bukas.

She took her food in the living room and placed it on the table along with a glass of red wine. Binuksan niya ang flatscreen tv to serve as her background noise while eating and reading the informations that she received along with her fake documents earlier.

Luxeford Academy is a school for elite people. They have the most beautiful and advance facilities. Luxeford Academy is also well known in Asia because of its credentials and high rate and advance education that they offer.

A few weeks ago two students are reported missing. The officials gather some information and try to retrieve the students but they can't find any clue or reasons.

And last July one student is also reported missing and until now they didn't know where he is.

"Didn't Sir A mentioned that they developed a dangerous stuff?" she muttered as she took a big bite of her chicken breast.

"Am I gonna stay in a dormitory now?" kunot-noong wika niya. Staying in a dormitory inside the campus will definitely restrain her moves. On the other hand she can roam around freely without worrying on climbing those tall walls surrounding the academy.

After finishing her meal and reading the information. Secret started to prepare her things that she needed on her mission.

"I need to rest now." Wika niya sa kanyang sarili saka nahiga sa kanyang kama. She needed to sleep and rest thoroughly because tomorrow she'll be waking up with a different identity.

Disguising as a student? How absurd. The boss probably gave her this mission to get back at her for all the headaches that she caused him. But no matter what mission she'll receive, she'll definitely do everything to complete it successfully because that's her job. 

"You can do this, me!" She silently cheered herself and closed her eyes.

Secret saw a small child standing next to a man. The child is crying and the man kneeled in front of her. He wipes the tears rolling on her cute pinkish cheeks.

"Shush, it's alright sweetie." Malambing ang boses na wika nito saka hinalikan ang noo ng batang babae.

The little girl sniffed as she started to calm down as the man consoled her.

"You don't need to be afraid. I'm here sweetie. I always here for you." He said sweetly.

"Promise?" The little girl said.

"Promise." He smiled and hugged her.

The dream fades and Secret woke up. Kinusot niya ang kanyang mata saka kumurap at humikab. Umupo siya sa kanyang kama at nag-inat, saka siya tumayo upang maghanda dahil ngayong umaga ang opisyal na simula ng kanyang misyon.

She look towards the ceiling and sighed.

That dream, I wonder why it made me feel sad.
