I don’t want to get up I’m so tired I barley slept last night. I decide that I ain’t looking down, not me, not ever, so I get up. I put on the tightest jeans I’ve got, a V-neck black shirt which showed just above my full b*****s, and my high heeled boots knee-high, a black belt with a silver barrel racing buckle. I stilled my hair and put black eyeliner on, simple and natural makeup. I know I’m late because of my idleness, but it better be worth it. So I climb on my car and drive to school I’m ready for all the looks of pity I will be getting I know Caroline will be all over Alejandro and since yesterday we were seen together gossip should be at its highest. I put the music volume up and hit the road. I get to the parking lot “She Never Lets It Go to Her Heart” of Tim McGraw blasting through the speakers “She can turn every head... And everybody watches every move...

But they don't realize. There's more to her than what meets the eye. That's why I'm certain

'Cause she never lets it go to her heart, she never lets it go that far, when they start talking, she starts walking...” I turn off the car and get on my way to the classroom, I can feel every pair of eyes on me, it’s not like me to show up like this, I usually lay low I don’t like the attention but this is the first time someone tries to make me look weak, and I ain’t that. I walk all the way to the door take a deep breath and step inside, everyone looks at me wide eyed, I think they weren’t expecting this, they might expected a puffy eyed girl trying to pull up her s**t together. As I walk in my eyes land on a particular set of floor green eyes about to pop out of their sockets, and really pissed off Caroline that just seconds ago was all over Alejandro. I reach my place and the Alejandras just look amazed. 

“Oh my god! I’m so sorry I thought everything was fine, and then I come in and see this, I’ve been such a terrible friend” Clark said with regret

“Yeah I’ve been so busy with honors events I haven’t been paying attention to you” Moore adds up. 

“It’s ok girls I know you care and you’ve been busy it’s not like I’ve been keeping in touch with you either, I don’t care, you know what daddy says “If you climb in the saddle, be ready for the ride, and If you get thrown from a horse, you have to get up and get back on, unless you landed on a cactus; then you have to roll around and scream in pain. No worry for snakes usually they die from their own venom”” I smile at them. 

“How do you do it, you are the one with a heart break and you try to make us feel better for abandoning you for the last couple of weeks, and on top you make it sound as if nothing happened?” Moore asks a bit worried 

“Seriously girls, no need to cry over spilled milk, giddy-up! Let’s go get a coffee and cake when class is over” they both smile and nod. 

I look up and Antony is looking my way in a weird way, it’s like he is proud, or I don’t know just can’t point it, he just makes eye contact smiles and nods, then turn his attention to his number one fan! Monica...

The day goes on and people keep on whispering around the halls, but I don’t know if it is because of how I look or what happened with Caroline and my supposed boyfriend. 

I go home not wanting to do a thing. I lock myself up and get to do homework. I need to get a head of school since I’m going to miss almost a week for the Nationals. All the week is the same, school, homework and school again. All of my friends have been too quiet all week, like they are walking on eggshells, they might think if they say something I might break but I’m not like that. And all week I’ve been dressing to show him what he missed, by now I think he’s got it clear, some guys from his team have come around to make small talk, but I try not to get their hopes up. 

It’s Friday!! Time to go home! We have rodeo on Sunday and I will be missing classes on Monday, I’m not exactly thrilled to miss art class, but I do love those trips. 

I get stop the ranch just before sunset, the road was jammed because of an accident and it took me twice the time. We have dinner and I go outside to get my tack ready we were leaving before sunrise and I’m a bit lazy to get up.  I go check on Pollock and make sure he’s got plenty of water we were going up to Forth Worth to a small rodeo that is held now on November, and it’s a good 5 hr. drive. I get to my room to get a quick shower when I get out of the bathroom I have some texts from the Alejandra’s wishing good luck and telling me how much they care, I send a quick reply, just a thanks and I do care 4 you also, and a happy face. I lay down ready to sleep when my phone buzzes, it’s an incoming call from

Antony, 

“Hello”

“Hey! I just wanted to make sure. You were ok, I didn’t see you much in school I was busy with some studying and even I hurried up to catch before you left you were already gone”

“Yeah I needed to get here early but did find a lot of traffic”

“Am, I just... wanted to know...” there’s a pause and I can almost hear his head working with the words. 

“Yeah? you still there?”

“Just wanted to wish you luck, you work hard for this, and you deserve it” I could tell he wanted to say something else but in the end he decided not to. 

“Thanks!”

“Good night”

“Night”

I hang up the phone and set up my alarm and my timer to stop playing music in 30 minutes. And get ready to sleep, it’s been like 10 minutes and I start to drift off to dream land...
