Mike’s POV
Yesterday I met a girl, obviously she was a cute girl. But there was something that caught my attention about her. I don’t know exactly who she is, but she's attractive to me somehow.
Her way of insulting is great. Although she left my eye purple. It is good that today we are going to do community service, for the first time I feel excited to go, the other times they were not a big thing, I had some adventures with girls in the gym but I didn’t like those girls that much, but I really want to know this girl for sure, although I highly doubt that she wants an adventure after what happened.
I went into the classroom and there she was, reading a book or whatever. I purposely sat in the back to talk to her, she looked a bit irritated by that, I could tell.
“Hi …” “Don't start.” She interrupted me.
“ I just wanted to say hello.” I told.
“Well, you shouldn't do that.” she said as she points to the classroom door.
“Hello Small cake!” Lexy yells running towards me.
“Hi ... Lexy.” I greeted her reluctantly.
I don’t like being Lexy's boyfriend. But she is the most popular girl in school. We dated from the first year, I admit that I liked her since then, but now she doesn’t interest me as a girlfriend. I better break up with her, as soon as possible. Lexy kisses me and sits next to me. The only thing I did in the whole class was put up with Lexy, and the teacher. I couldn’t converse with the girl, I didn’t have a chance for the two reasons above. But that shouldn't worry me, I'll see her later.
Classes ended, and it was time to begin the task. I headed for the gym room right away.
And there was the girl, well, I call her like that because I don't know what her name is. Although yesterday the director mentioned her name, I didn't remember to be honest.
“Wow, I think someone beat me at coming first here.” I said while I sit next to her.
“You better not talk to me.” She told me, trying to get me away from her.
“Why not?” I asked.
“Because it's your fault I missed the The Walking Death special.” she said angrily.
I just ignored her excuse, she could just look up that series on the Internet or on Netflix, how dramatic.
“Hey, you didn't tell me your name.” I asked her with a smile.
“Why should I tell you? You're in my math class you should already know.” she told me, frowning.
“Or maybe I don't pay attention in class?” I said.
“My name is Kate Robinson.” she told me with a disgusted face.
“Hm, Kate Robinson huh? nice name.” I whispered.
“I still don't like you and the director said we're going to start with the backyard, we better get started.” She told me with a disgusted face.
The only thing I liked about community service was the adventures. I Repeat, I hate cleaning. I don't even know why I got into a fight with Kate. The truth is, I couldn't help it, it was my favorite shirt.
We went to the backyard of the school, and grabbed some brooms.
We clean for a while.
“If you don't want to clean, you'd better not punch me again.” I said.
“Nah don't worry, I like this.” she said while she cleaned a corner.
“Wait a minute, Does that mean you'll punch me again?
“Haha, we'll”
“I hope not Robinson, I need this beautiful face.” I said pointing to my face with confidence.
“Yes, it's your only quality.” she said with a mocking face.
She can’t see this body that I have? Or my hair? calm down Mike. She is definitely blind.
“You're the only one who says that then.”
She just rolled her eyes and kept cleaning.
It was already five in the afternoon, and it was time to go. When we went to put away the brooms, my friend Jerry showed up in his car.
“Sup friend, hello dear... “ he says with an admiring face when he sees Kate.
“Hi Jerry.” I said and gave him a light blow on the head.
“Weren't we going to the concert?” he asked.
“Yes, of course, see you later Kate, I hope you enjoyed the afternoon with me.” I said winking.
“Ew.” she said as she walked away.
Although she says ew, I know very well that she thinks the opposite way.
“Who is she?” Jerry asked.
“A girl from my class.” I shrugged.
“The one that punched you?” he started laughing.
“It's not funny and yes, it's her.”
“She is not ugly.” He said, biting his lower lip.
“Yes, stupid, but she's mine.” I tapped him on the shoulder.
After the concert, I went straight home.
I live with my mother, and my father. I am an only child. I'm used to being around girls, it's not my fault. I'm perfectly handsome, and they can't resist.
Now something came to mind. You better call Lexy.
I grabbed the phone, and dialed her number.
“Hello? Lexy?”
“Hi love! What do you want?”
“I need to talk to you after the first classes, can you?”
“Sorry I can't, I have to go to the cheerleading meeting.”
“Ah then I’ll tell you here because you never have time, we are over.”
“But, what?”
“I don't feel the same for you anymore and I don't want to be with you.:
I quickly cut. I sighed in relief.
I didn't want her to start crying on the phone either or yell at me, you never know what Lexy will do.
I finally broke up with that false relationship.
Plus, we just hang out at school, we don't go on dates or anything like that.
And the funny thing is, I can't stand her, I couldn't take it anymore.
Kate’s POV
The next day, I woke up super early to see Jane. I was waiting for her outside the school. But look at my surprise.
There was Mike talking to me.
“Hey, what 's up.” He greeted me with a smile.
“Don’t bother.” I said.
“What can you do? You are just a doll.” he was saying as he approached me.
“Yes? And would a doll do this?” Then I grabbed his little finger, and twisted it.
“Ouch!” he complained of pain.
“Well you're strong.” He said.
“Do you want me to try something else?” asked.
“My lips maybe.” He walked over to me, and grabbed my arm.
Hearing those words I knew this boy wanted to play. Well, I wasn't thinking of playing with him.
As he approached, I reached out my hand, to push him away from me.
“Don't come near me like that again.” I embodied an eyebrow.
He just looked at me with a malicious smile. I would like to read his mind to know what he is thinking, but that would be impossible.
After this, Jane arrived, and we went to class.
I turn to look around, and there is Mike looking at me, like I'm a television.
“What are you staring at?” I whispered.
“What? I can’t see you?” he whispered, turning.
“Stupid.”
“Is something wrong Miss Robinson?” Asked the professor angrily.
I listened to the boys in the back laughing.
“No nothing, nothing happens.” I answered
What a shame.
I look at him and make a face of hatred.
He just laughed at me.
Classes are over.
We were at lunch and I saw Kevin sitting alone, so I led Jane there.
“Hi Kevin.”
“Hi, Kate?” He greeted me, confused.
“Does it matter if we sit here?” I Asked.
“No not at all.”
Suddenly, we hear screams from the other side of the cafeteria.
It was Mike and Lexy, arguing.
“Uuh! They seem to be arguing.” Jane said, trying to see what was happening.
“Wow, you know, I didn't notice it!” I said sarcastically.
After Lexy, she leaves the cafeteria angry and striding.
“I think they broke up.” Kevin said.
“Yes, it seems so.” I mumbled.
“Yupe definitely.” says Jane.
“And what's more, I heard that Mike broke up with her on the phone.” Kevin said.
“Are you serious?” Jane and I said at the same time.
“Yes.” Kevin said and then devoured his hamburger.
That was weird, why were they suddenly going tobreak up? What will have happened between those two?
After lunch, Jane and I would walk down the hall.
"Hey, Kate, now you have a chance." Jane told me excitedly.
“About what?” I asked.
“Well, obviously, With Mike!” she shouted more excitedly.
“What! Are you crazy? I wouldn't date a foolish and ignorant person like him.
Well, I admit it, he is handsome, but no.” I said shaking my head.
“Don't be exaggerated, it shows that he is interested in you.”
“Well, let him stay with the desire, I wouldn’t go out with him even being crazy.”
Classes are over, and I stayed up late, because I had to do some things for a teacher. When I finished, I went to my locker to put some things away. I really want to go home. Ready to take a shower and watch TV.
“Hi cute!” I heard a voice and turned back.
I'm not surprised. It was Mike.
“What are you doing here?” I asked, frowning.
“I have to tell you how I live my life?” He said with a mocking face.
“Sometimes you are so unbearable.” I said while closing the locker.
Why did I say that sometimes? always.
“Oh, admit it, I'm irresistible.” He said as he pushed me against the lockers, and cornered me.
“Well, it's not irresistible when you say you are.” I reddened an eyebrow.
I was angry, I knew it was his little game, that's the way boys are now. Not all of them, but I can distinguish those boys who play with girls when I see them.
I could feel his breath and his cologne, he was so close to me. Seriously, it was his work, his game.
He started stroking my hair.
Afterwards, I had the opportunity to move a finger, so I pushed him.
“What do you want?” I crossed my arms.
“Nothing, only that you are very pretty and I like your hair.” I just looked at him frowning.
What he said was very strange and made no sense. But I knew he was lying. I rolled my eyes, and walked past him. I couldn't believe it, I don't like that boy at all.
