Chapter 24
I’d been hiding in my hotel room for two days after I’d grabbed my keyboard and some essential items from my apartment. I took a taxi to carry the keyboard.
Staying here was a bit of an adventure at first — especially the spa — but the novelty was wearing off and I was starting to go stir crazy. Again.
I decided to break my own rule. I went downstairs to the restaurant in the hotel for breakfast. The smell of waffles, toast, and bacon cooking reached me as I walked in, making my mouth water.
