THE PRINCE'S HIDDEN BRIDE
The Prince’s Hidden Bride – Episodes 1–5
Episode 1: The Stranger by the River
The evening sun painted the village of Liora in soft gold. Amara balanced a clay pot on her head as she walked toward the river. Her feet were bare, brushing the dusty path, her simple dress fluttering lightly in the breeze. Life had always been quiet here, predictable — until she saw something that made her heart leap.
A body floated face-down in the water, hidden among reeds. Panic surged through her. Without thinking, she ran into the cold river, dragging the man to shore. He coughed violently, water spilling from his lips, and his eyes fluttered open — storm-grey, tired, and mysterious.
“You… saved me?” he croaked.
Amara nodded, pressing a trembling hand to his chest. “I couldn’t just leave you.”
He tried to smile, weak and uneven. “Who are you?”
“Just someone who can’t let people die.”
His gaze lingered on her face. There was something familiar in the kindness she carried, yet a heaviness in his own eyes that frightened her. He looked away, whispering, “No one important.”
Amara didn’t believe him. Something about this stranger — his voice, his eyes, the way he carried himself even in weakness — told her he was far from ordinary.
And as she helped him to her feet, a quiet question lingered in her mind: Who is he really, and why is he here, alone, in danger?
Episode 2: Hidden in the Village
Amara hid the stranger in her small hut at the edge of the forest. His arm was badly cut, and the wound needed days to heal. She brought herbs, clean water, and food, her hands shaking with worry.
“You don’t have to do this,” he whispered one evening.
“I couldn’t leave you,” she replied softly.
For days, she watched him recover. Slowly, he began to talk — though he shared little about himself. “Adrian,” he said. That was all. No last name, no home. Just a voice that seemed to echo in her heart.
One morning, while she washed his bandages, a horseman’s shadow crossed the forest edge. The man froze.
“You know that crest?” Amara asked.
His eyes darkened. “I… used to serve the palace.”
She didn’t push him. Instead, she simply nodded, sensing the weight behind his words. He wasn’t just a wounded man — he was someone important, someone who had enemies.
That night, as rain pattered against the roof, he whispered, “If you knew who I truly was… you might hate me.”
Amara looked at him, eyes wide. “I don’t hate easily. And I’m not afraid.”
He stared at her, a mix of relief and longing in his stormy eyes, but said nothing more.
Outside, the night carried secrets. Inside, two hearts were beginning to understand each other — and the danger that loomed over them.
Episode 3: The Secret Revealed
Two weeks later, Amara awoke to the pounding of hooves outside. Soldiers. Dozens of them.
“Adrian, hide!” she whispered, panic rising.
He turned to her, eyes full of sorrow. “I can’t keep lying to you anymore, Amara.”
“What do you mean?”
He removed a golden ring from his pocket, engraved with the royal crest. “I am Prince Adrian of Erathia, heir to the throne. The men outside are my guards.”
Amara stepped back, heart pounding. “You’re… a prince?”
“Yes. And I’m promised to Princess Elara in three days.”
Silence fell like a storm between them.
“Then why are you here?” she asked.
“Because someone tried to kill me. I escaped… and I found you.”
Amara’s mind raced. Every moment with him suddenly carried a new weight. “If they find out…”
“They mustn’t,” Adrian said firmly. “I brought you here for safety. But know this — everything between us is real.”
Outside, the soldiers shouted his name. He looked at her, pleading silently. “Amara… hide me once more, not as a stranger, but as the man who owes you his life.”
Her heart made the choice before her mind could. And in that instant, nothing would ever be the same.
Episode 4: Whispers in the Palace
The palace of Erathia rose like gold in the morning sun. Amara’s gown, borrowed from a kind maid, brushed the marble floor as she followed Adrian through grand halls.
“From now on,” Adrian whispered, “you are my guest. No one can know who you are.”
Guards bowed but dared not speak. Inside, chandeliers glimmered, and whispers seemed to float in the air. Lady Myra, the queen’s adviser, approached, her sharp eyes sizing Amara up.
“A new friend, Your Highness?” she asked, smile polite but cold.
“A guest from the countryside,” Adrian said. “She saved my life. She stays under my protection.”
Lady Myra’s gaze lingered. “How… noble.”
Amara exhaled shakily when the woman left.
“She suspects,” Amara whispered.
“Let her,” Adrian replied, holding her hand. “Just don’t let her win.”
That night, as the city lights sparkled below the balcony, Amara realized that life in the palace was both magnificent and dangerous — and her heart beat faster at the thought of every secret moment with Adrian.
Episode 5: The Secret Vow
Days passed. The palace walls became their hidden world. Each evening, Adrian visited her chamber, sharing stories of his royal life and dreams she had never imagined.
One night, by candlelight, he knelt. “Amara… I’ve never felt peace like this. You make me forget the crown, the rules… everything.”
Tears pricked her eyes. “But the world won’t forget who you are.”
He took a small silver chain and placed it in her hands. “With this, I bind my heart to yours. You are my wife — in secret, before God.”
Her breath caught. “If anyone finds out…”
“Then let them,” he said softly. “I’d rather lose a kingdom than you.”
Outside, the palace seemed quiet. But shadows moved, whispers grew, and Amara understood that danger was never far. Yet, in his arms, she felt the safety she had only dreamed of.
And so began their love — forbidden, hidden, and stronger than any crown.
