Chapter 5

I woke up with a pat on my shoulder so I was thrown back to bed.

"You're awake" I began to Aaron.

"how are you feeling?" I asked more.

"I'm fine" he replied then he looked around the room. "Where are we?" he asked me.

"We're at my home" I replied.

"Huh? Why did I come here?" he asked in astonishment.

"Airene called me last night, she brought you to me. I don't know the exact location of your house so I brought you here first" I explained. "of course, your mommy called last night, I said you're here" I chased then I got up and took the glass with only water on the bedside table and the medicine next to it.

"this, drink it to get rid of your headache" then I handed him the medicine and the water. When he drank, I took it immediately and walked out of the room.

"Cia" he called me so I turned to him.

"Thank you" he said softly but enough for me to hear

"It's nothing. Go ahead and wash up. There's a bathroom there and then you go down to eat breakfast" I said then went straight out of the room and went to my room.

When I got down, I found mom and Aaron in the kitchen. Aaron apologized to my mommy for the inconvenience she caused.

"Don't think about it, Aaron. I understand you. But I hope it won't happen again next time. It's not just Patricia you're worried about, even your parents are worried about you" Aaron just nodded in response to mom and mom was looked at where I was standing.

"Sweetie, you're already there. Come here, let's eat" mommy said to me then I walk towards the dining table then we start eating.

When we finished breakfast, Aaron and I were in the garden so that we could talk.

"Thank you again last night and sorry for the inconvenience" he began.

"It's nothing" I said sparingly.

"And about what happened a few days ago, I'm really sorry" pakasabi niya ay napayuko siya. "I'm so selfish" he said. "I didn't even think about how you would feel" he continued

I got up from my seat and approached him.

"Look" I said and looked up at his face, enough for him to see me. "I understand you too. We talked about that, but I just can't really lie to mom. I only have her, I don't want to break her trust in me" I explained.

"I'm sorry" she said. "that day, before I came here, mom and I had a fight" he opened. "she wants me to date her friends daughter" when she said that I suddenly softened but I tried not to cry. "And I don't want to. Even though we're only last for 3 months, I don't want to do that." he said. "Another one, I don't even know that" he said. "so I want to take you home for mommy's birthday, so that I can formally introduce you to her. So that she'll stop talking about that girl" he said as he continue

"I'm sure your mommy wants to introduce you to a beautiful woman" I said jokingly.

"I don't care" he said coldly.

"Beautiful. Not like me" I said further.

"I don't care about her looks beside you're beautiful and you're kind compare to other girls" he replied to me.

"Being kind is the only thing that I am confident and I'm not beautiful" I said.

"I highly disagree" he said. "look, I don't care who or what you are. All I care about is your personality. The beauty fades. But the heart doesn't. And as I said, you're beautiful, period" after he said he hugged me when his cellphone suddenly rang.

"it's mom" he said then pointed to the cellphone.

"hello mom?" Aaron said.

His mom alot of things but I never heard it. I got up and went back to my seat. After a few minutes, he hang up his phone.

"Cia, mom said you two talked last night?" he asked then I nod.

"about what?" he asked.

"about you being drunk?" my answer.

"oh I thought she said something about her friend's daughter" she said and I felt her feeling relieved.

I remained silent, I did not know how I would react.

"anyway, i should go" he said then he stood up and approached me.

"thanks a lot and I'm really sorry for what happened. I'll call you later, ok?" he said then I smiled at him then I stand up and we wen inside the house and I accompny him towards the gate. Mom insisted on sending him home but he refused because he was about to be picked up by his dad.
