I pulled at my restraints hoping that I could at least get one hand free. The only thing I succeeded at was doing more damage to myself. I could feel my warm blood running down my arms.
The door swung open and this time Levi came in with Klayton.
“Levi please-“
“Begging won’t help you missy. Besides, no one leaves till I get what I deserve”
“What are you talking about?”
“Figures they wouldn’t have told you guys”
“Who wouldn’t tell us? What are you talking about?”
“Your parents just thought they could sweep us under the rug and forget about us. I’ve waited over seventeen years for this. Tell me Claire. Did your parents ever tell you about the day you were born?”
“Of course they did”
“I bet they never told you about Gemma,” he held a yellowing newspaper up to me.
