Yes, I had an unfinished business with Rowena, and it was time to finish it. A week. That’s what I’d given myself to decide what to do with my baby because I couldn’t hide it forever.
Rowena was right—soon, the bump would be impossible to conceal, and when it became obvious, Alpha Luther would be furious, perhaps even beyond fury.
I could deal with him being angry at me, but I wouldn’t drag innocent Rowena into my mess.
I had made my decision, and it was time to discuss it with her.
I glanced back, making sure Alpha Luther wasn’t watching. His window remained shut, and I felt a small surge of relief.
He probably thought I was headed back to my chambers.
So, I turned forward and started towards Rowena’s quarters. But just as I picked up my pace, I heard my name.
