I stood there in shock, looking at how furious Kael was. “What the hell is going on here?!” I yelled.
Soraya stood frozen, shivering and not uttering a single word.
“Kael?! Soraya?!” I yelled again, but neither of them responded.
Then Kael walked away, leaving a trail of tension behind him. The minute he was out of sight, I rushed at Soraya, pinning her against the wall.
“What the hell happened here?!”

“I demand an answer right now!”
I let go of her, dragging her to the kitchen to avoid drawing too much attention. We had a mating ceremony tonight, and this chaos was the last thing we needed.
