Kaida's POV I watched as Rowena’s face drained of color at my question. Her eyes darted, her lips pressed together in a thin line. Was she worried I had uncovered something? I couldn’t be sure, but her reaction told me enough. "You didn’t come here because you had something to tell me about your baby, did you?" She asked, narrowing her eyes at me. I gulped again, my throat working as I tried to compose myself. Instead of answering, I stepped away from her, moving to the other side of the window, where I leaned back, trying to put space between us. "I don’t know what you’re insinuating, Rowena," I finally said, but my voice lacked its usual firmness. "Tell me why you’re here, or you’re leaving now. I have other important things to do," Rowena replied, she had lost her patience.
