Kaida’s POV
I barely had time to process the sight of Rowena as she nearly collided with me at the entrance to her room.
Her eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, we both stood there, caught off guard by the unexpected encounter.
“Are you okay?” I asked, more out of instinct than anything else.
Rowena’s hand fluttered to her chest as she struggled to regain her composure. “I... I wasn’t expecting to see you here again so soon. Are you okay? Are you fine? Are you bleeding again?”
There was something in her voice that didn’t sit right with me, something that made me wonder if it was really my well-being she was concerned about, or if my presence had unnerved her.
She seemed almost too anxious, too hurried, and I couldn’t quite put my finger on why.
“I’m fine, Rowena,” I answe
